Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BIRMINGHAM - INVERNESS 280

My husband and I had a great time at this hotel! We will be back :) The people were so friendly and went above and beyond for us..perfect trip! The breakfast bar was not that appealing to our appetite, but other than that perfect hotel!

Very good hotel for the money!

I travel to Birmingham twice a month for a Dr. visit so I have been staying at different hotels to find the one that meets my expectations. I am sorry to say I was disappointed in the Holiday Inn Express. The room felt like it wasn't clean. Even the sheets were all wrinkled making it look like they had already been slept in by someone else. Looks like I will cross this one off my list.

We went to BHM for a funeral so it was a very short trip. The hotel was nice and the first night stay front office clerk was great. we later found out we had no phone service in the room at all. I went to the front office to report it after tornado warning on televison it still wasnt repaired. When we checked out reported it again. Maybe u can check room 418 no phone service

I've got the best husband in the world! After 14 yrs of marriage, mother to 1 daughter (9) and a foster mom, he treated me to MY FIRST "mommy vacation". I stayed for 3 nights. I'd rest in bed while finishing a book for credit, wrote my book report, worked a puzzle, watched TV, napped...it was wonderful! I didn't have to talk with anyone (unless I wanted to), I didn't have to hear anyone talk, I didn't have to make any decisions, clean house, do laundry, run errands or a hundred other daily tasks. I enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast(already prepared) which was included in the room rate and then, do whatever "I" wanted to do...period! (rested some more!!!)The Holiday Inn Express was very peaceful, clean, affordable and there to cater to you! [...] and [...] are truly an asset to Holiday Inn Express!!! Thank you ladies for a great, restful, well-fed experience!!!

Holiday time brought reduced service; however this is a nice property with good service and value. Hot tub was not working the first night, but this was not a deal breaker. Nice breakfast in the morning and very helpful desk staff.

The hotel was nice, We just stayed the 2 night after our events on Friday and Saturday in the City

Staff is very friendly. Room is very comfortable. Room and hotel decor is great. Breakfast room is spacious and set up comfortably. We enjoyed our stay but had a lukewarm shower both mornings of our stay. Staff said they would have it looked at at checkout. I would stay here again.

Booked through C/T who blames the Hotel who blames [...] (3rd party)so in essence it became the customers, our fault sort of like a buyer beware thing. Specifically searched for 2 rooms 4 beds in the Birmingham area as it was 4 guys going to golf and do the Nascar thing, money was NOT the first or even second concern. Flights and car arrangements went exactly as discribed and were perfect. When we arrived at the Hotel things still were going well, until we were told that we were getting 2 King rooms and thats all they had and we were lucky to get that even though we specifically booked 2 X 2 queen bed rooms. We were totally dismissed by the front desk clerk and there was no compensation offered what so ever other then for an extra $10 a night were could get a roll out cot which she said wasn't very comfortable anyway. As she claimed to be the assistant manager we asked how this could happen and why you would advetise falsely on the website about room availability, her well rehearsed response was that because we booked third party and it happens all the time it was basically our fault. The response was too well rehearsed not to have happened before and by the sounds of it often. Our feeling was that because we were third party booked we were bumped with out any concern by the hotel as it is the hotels responsibility to maintain the correct information on the website. The issue was not two guys sleeping together we got over that, the issue was we specifically searched out this arrangement and actually paid more to get it and it was not correct. When we asked the hotel and the 3rd party for alternate accommodations or a credit to seek out other accommodations we were told no there was no way the hotel was going to lose 4 nights times 2 rooms of revenue.

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They made our stay an awesome experience. They were knowledgeable about the area and the restaurants they recommended were fantastic!
