NASTY FAMILY OUTING
GOT STUCK ON ELEVATOR FOR MORE THAN 3 HOURS. WAS TOLD BY FRONT DESK BREAKFAST WAS FREE NOT TRUE, CHARGED FOR EVERYTHING INCLUDING DRINKS FOR BREAKFAST. FOUND 2 ROACHES IN BATHROOM.

Blue Runner
Very pleasant
No complaints. Nice, clean room. Internet access is provided even though that's not clear in the description. The neighborhood was kind of sketchy but close to everything (airport, downtown, UAB). The only negative experience was the breakfast buffet was not worth the money and the service down there was terrible but otherwise, everything was great.

Solid business hotel
Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and he bed/pillows comfortable. Internet access could have been better, constantly getting kicked out of sites.

Great hotel, convenient location!
Just a brief overnight before flying out. Great hotel, convenient location. Due to the airport baggage hall renovation, the info desk was closed and the hotel & shuttle info & phone was hard to find. But do not let that put you off; Holiday Inn does have a shuttle bus and it is very convenient.

Badly Managed Holiday Inn
Another example of a good chain w bad mgt. Tried to cancel room a week in advance and they would not accept. I hope everyone will boycott this hotel in the future.

Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport
THis is another once nice and hospitable US hotel that is being run by Indians who have no understanding of US Hotel Protocol. Tried to cancel a room a week in advance from an [...]reservation and they refused. In addition, Holiday Corporate would not overide the decision either. I travel 150 nights per year and have never had a issue like this before. In my opinion this places Holiday Inn Birmingham in the the 3rd tier hotels of the US. It only takes once for me to learn my lesson.
