I do believe this was a "lady of the night" hotel! Yuk

I do believe this hotel had some "ladies of the night" working from some of the rooms! Hubby don't sleep well at night and was outside smoking. Said he seen several men coming at different times out of one lady's room!! Floors were dirty and nightstand had definitely not been wiped off, it had drink spilled all over it . Towels were clean and bed was clean so we stayed. Won't go back again!

this motel was literally not bad for its price.. i went to birmingham with my boyfriend we need a cheap place to stay one night. however the room could be cleaner the bed sheeth was almost nasty the cover felt very humid. when we entered the room the ac wasnt turned on so it was very very hot. but once we turned on the ac it was ok but it took several hours to cool the room, we had to go out instead of resting until the room was cool enough. overall not bad for the price and a short stay.

Travelling on business, only stayed 1 night

Bad case of the Mold that dominated the overall smell. I wondered if the room was even safe to stay? Also room old and broken down and in need of a remodel. I understand the price was good, but I guess I got what I paid for and a bit less. I will have to go back to Birmingham, but I will NOT stay there.

This hotel was chosen because on the internet it said that it had a pool. When we got there, the pool was closed and no one seemed to know why. We ended up having to locate another hotel. Plus I am still waiting for the credit on my account.

We went to stay in Birmingham because my grand daughter had been selected to sing with the Alabama All State Choir. Econo lodge was relatively close to where they were performing. When we approached the desk, the desk clerk was on a personal call and checked us in without ever getting off the phone! Then to top it off, we opened the door to the room and had to kill a large cockroach. We know that some times in our beautiful south, that bugs can be a problem, but when we then entered the bathroom area, there were 2 more roaches crawing in the bathroom. One on the floor and a BIG one crawling on the towel that we were supposed to use. At that point, we decided we could not stay at this hotel. We were in the room approx. 10-15 minutes before returning to the front desk. I told the desk clerk that this room was nasty and we were not staying. Her only reply was "so you're checking out then?" She never asked what was wrong and it was obvious that she didnt care!

I appreciated the mini-fridge and microwave in the room at no extra charge. The front desk and cleaning personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. When I called I received clear, easy directions. No odd smells, although I found a safety seal (clear plastic from a bottle of pills, I believe) on the carpet by my bed, so I know the vacuuming is not always thorough. An excellent value for the price.

The room was spotless! The service was wonderful. The front desk clerks offered to print out directions, maps and coupons for a local restaurant. We had a very good and restful weekend here. I would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay in Birmingham. I WILL use this hotel from now on!!!!
