The hotel was located in a great spot for shopping, eating out, bowling, ect. We really enjoyed the stay there. It was one ... of the best places I have ever stayed, one the staff was ready for me, two the rooms were very clean, and I had a few cups of their free coffee. I will stay here next year on this trip.

Don't use the riverchase mall in Hoover unless you've just got to stay inside. The open-air mall just up from the hotel has it all and More!

Nice, clean & quiet. I've stayed there only one night in mid-week so my experience of their hospitality is somewhat limited. ... Personnel is friendly , courteous and helpful. Room was spotless clean and nice. Only 2 drawbacks : 1) lack of restaurant. There's is some in the area but if you don't have a car you'd have to cross busy street in order to get there. I didn't feel like walking so I've called Dominoe's Pizza and my order (medium size pizza $13.89 - I was told that it'll be there in 40min.) was delivered 20 min. later! , 2) they don't have airport shuttle. I paid $34.00 for cab fare : from the airport to Drury Inn, beside tip. On the plus side they do have a pretty good breakfast bar . They also offer late afternoon snack bar with complimentary drink, you'll get the card for it when you check in. I can't tell much about it since I didn't go for it. Overall it was a good exerience.

The breakfast was good, adn there was popcorn and soda available in the lobby all the time. There was also a cocktail hour ... that we took advantage of. The pool was half-inside, half-outside, and was a good size.

This hotel was first class at a bargain price. It is localted in a surprisingly upscale area with great shopping and ... restaurants. I will look for Drury again. The room was much nicer than Holiday Inn or Marriott.
