Columbus couple
nice weekend trip
Our first trip to Birmingham. Hotel was easy to find and convenient to the rest of the city. Efficient staff; room was very clean and comfortable. Decent, but not great, complementary breakfast. Will stay here again the next time we're in town.

Landry's, a seafood restaurant across the street, serves an excellent blackened mahi mahi. Birmingham has a very nice and large (bring walking shoes) botanical garden that is well worth seeing.

perfect room and location
The room was very spacious, clean, and didn't have that funky smell that most hotels do. The staff couldn't've been more pleasant and friendly! The hotel was in the perfect location.. Plenty of choices for dining and shopping. Gas station right down the street. Very clean part of town as well. Very happy with my visit

Worked well for us
Our family had to move from our house for a few days so a suite was neccesary as there are 6 of us & it worked just fine. Having breakfast was a blessing! The lady that worked in the morning at the buffet was sweet & there was always plenty of food & choices.

My Third Time
When I like a hotel I come back and this is my third time.I like the roome size,the fridge and microwave and the location.I do wish they had airport service.A cab cost 30 bucks.Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Very family Friendly
The best western carlton was very comfortable, the room was large with a sitting area and sink and fridge and microwave oven as well as a large desk with set up for computer if needed. The large bed was comfy and we liked the sofa in the sitting area you could sit there and watch tv or snack read etc. The separate vanity area was a plus also. We liked being able to park near the entrance and having a short walk to our room. The exercise room and heated pool was great for us to relax after so much riding. We arrive at night and found nice resturants near by. But opted to have a pizza delivered instead. It was great. So we were able to use the pool night and morning. We would recommend this motel to family or business travellers.
