We traveled to Auburn for my son's swim meet, and we needed to stay for 3 nights. I needed a hotel with a reasonable price. After reading reviews for The Sleep Inn, I decided to give it a try. We were pleased. The staff were very pleasant and
accommodating. The microwave and refrigerator in the room was a plus. I also used the fitness room. The bathroom was a nice size as well. The beds could have been a little more comfortable, but I guess no bed is like home. We did request a non-smoking floor, and we did not smell any cigarette smoke at all. We would stay here again.
The toilet fan off and on loudly all night. Kept the bathroom door closed and jt was still very loud. I had to end up sleeping in my car. Would not recommend this hotel. It was a bit dingy as well. I would recommend the other newer hotels around
This was by far the most unprofessional staff I have EVER dealt with. We requested roll aways a week in advance and were told as we came in at 11 pm that they weren't available anymore and I had to sleep on the floor because there were no more
rooms. The staff was extremely rude and I heard them making comments about me as I left the desk. I will NEVER stay here or recommend this hotel to anyone. They literally sent blankets to me (to sleep on the floor) up the elevator by themselves. Horrible service on all accounts. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. And also, the "breakfast" is not worth walking downstairs for. HORRIBLE HOTEL!!!!
I brought my daughter to Auburn University and was looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay. This hotel is perfect. Near University campus. Right off the major street so it is quiet and still close to everything.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
If you need to catch a ride to Atlanta airport take Express85 shuttle. The nearest stop is at the Holiday Inn Express just 10 minutes walk away.
Room was clean and somewhat updated, staff was friendly. I've stayed in better hotels off the interstate but stayed in much worse. For the price, seemed like a fair deal. For a few bucks more, there were some better hotels within a block or two.
As for if I'd recommend to a friend - depends on the friend. :)
Daughter had to change rooms because of bugs. There were baseball players wandering the halls all through the night and making noise.
The breakfast was inadequate. We do not ever plan to stay there again when we go to Auburn.
I stayed in this hotel the night before my orientation at Auburn and I was pleased overall. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and neat. The water pressure in the shower was good. Overall it was a good night stay. Not a 5
star hotel, but more than worth the price.
