A great place to stay
This Microtel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. It is nice to have such a pleasant place to stay that is pet-friendly. The Continental breakfast was very nice with plenty of variety. I will being going back to this location and I plan to book my room with them again.

Fine, No Problems
This was our first stay at the Microtel in Auburn. Unlike our previous stay at a similar hotel nearby (Sleep Inn), this room was clean, without any obvious air-freshener odor covering up....something. Our room had a queen bed, a sleeper sofa, small desk, small bathroom and plenty of lighting. No shampoo or conditioner were provided in the bathroom, but were gladly provided upon my daughter's request. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were a bit overstuffed (bring your own, like we always do). The TV was an old tube-type, which we really didn't watch. There was a coffee pot in the room. Paint was peeling in the shower, but was otherwise sparkling clean, with no evidence of "critters". Overall, we were quite satisfied for the price.

Perfect Getaway
The only thing that the hotel lacked was a swimming pool. I enjoyed the room because it made me feel comfortable because the rooms were clean.

WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN
Simply put: I did not like this Microtel at all! Inn & Suites? Ha! I'm certainly glad I didn't pay full price; it wasn't even worth the discount I did pay. For the first 3 days there was NO hot water :( There isn't even a proper breakfast area; just 2 tables against the wall in the lobby while breakfast consists of cereal, juice & coffee. I can't think of one thing I liked. It's so outdated & it's bad enough the rooms are small. The bathrooms were icky; I did not like it at all. I didn't even stay the entire time I was scheduled to stay. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because it was the closest hotel to my bf since he attends a university not too far from the area. This hotel just fell way below my standards; it totally took away from me enjoying my spring break. NEVER EVER AGAIN! This hotel's management has got to do a better job. I stayed at the Microtel in Opelika previously and should have returned there but like I said, this was closer to my bf. SMH the things we do for love! Never will I compromise my level of comfort again because this Microtel is just ridiculous! If it were up to me there would be a 0 star rating. NOT GOOD AT ALL! SAVE YOUR MONEY & STAY ELSEWHERE!
