AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!
The hotel was in an awful location, very scary neighborhood! The room we requested was non smoking and the room smelled of smoke with cigarette wrappers laying around. Very dirty, not clean at all. Will NOT GO BACK OR SUGGEST!

Roaches
Within 2min. of walking in the room 4 roaches scattered around the room. I picked up the phone to call the front desk and no dialtone. I called on my cell and we were moved to the days inn next door. No problems there.

The worst hotel stay ever!!!
We traveled to Attalla to attend the Mountain Top Flea Market. The pictures on the internet does not look anything like the motel itself. We had packages of coffee but NO COFFEE MAKER. The pictures show a hair dryer, NO HAIR DRYER, There was no alarm clock. There was no place in the bathroom to put ANYTHING (bathroom tissue holder was broken tissue was sitting on the towel rack, no trash can in bathroom.) There was activity in and out all night long (I did not feel safe). We booked for two nights the first night I did not SLEEP AT ALL the second night I went home. In the motel parking lot there was a vehicle with a flat tire and this vehicle had been sitting there for a while, you have to walk down the street to the office. This was in a run down looking neighborhood. I will in no way stay in this motel again.

One of the worst Motels Ever!
Photo on Internet was not of that Travelodge. It was in a bad location, motel looked run-down. Only good thing it was clean and on the 1st floor. Bathroom was not designed for a Handicapped person. No vanity or place to put toilet articles. Sink was free standing. Room heater could not be adjusted properly, it was either too hot or too cold. There was a sign at the Motel that said all rooms, one king bed $29.95 I paid $44 with you. If this had been the first time I had used your service it would have been the last but before I have always been very satisfied. I hope you will check on this Motel it is not as advertised.

Travelodge Attalla
This is an older motel, that seems to be in a run-down type of neighborhood; however, it was right off I-59, very easy to find, and I paid $34 for the room. Given the cost, this was great. I've stayed in a lot worse, and I've stayed in a lot better. The room was clean, and freshly painted, the linens were older, but clean.

nice room, but bad atmosphere
Over all it was a nice hotel room (nicely prepared, good and clean, new heat/air system, good TV) but the outside and arangement of the hotel was not nice at all. The location was very poor in that it was located in a bad section of town. Around the whole hotel building was a large wooden fence that completely covers up the place and looks horrible. The office is not even part of the hotel building and is instead down the street a ways.

good for the price
It is right off Hwy 59 and walk to fast-food, convenience store, or drive a short way to other restaurants. Neighborhood looks kind of seedy but is probably O.K. -- after all, NO PLACE is safe after dark.... We attended the annual World's Longest Yardsale in Gadsden. This motel was very near and was super-cheap (3 nights for $105), booked in advance. The room was large and had everything we needed but lacked the microwave and fridge that had been described, so if you need those, inquire at check-in. Desk clerk was friendly and helpful; but housekeeping was apparently over-whelmed and didn't deliver towels the second day. We made our own bed and treated it like a camping trip; that was a trade-off for the low price. If you need service and better amenities, go to a higher-end, higher priced chain down the road. We will definitely stay here again for next year's sale.
