I booked a king room w/micro/frige and whirpool through a non-refundable [...]deal or we would not have stayed. The manager refused to admit us for the price we paid through [...], and it took the desk clerk's call to [...], then [...]call to the manager to get the OK, which took about 1/2 hour after we'd been traveling all day. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke, desk clerk gave me a spray which I spilled on the bed because the spray nozzle fell off as I used it. There were burn holes in the bedspread, blanket and carpet. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, furniture chipped and drawers open when we arrived, which were difficult to close. When I saw the whirlpool which meant so much to the manager, I was aghast. It was cracked on the outside the faucet and knobs were rust-crusted and maintenance had used caulking that was odd-colored on the tub to say the least. It was extremely difficult to adjust the shower temperature, which nearly scalded me, and the head had so much pressure it felt as if it was boring a hole in my body. The room where the ice machine was located was so dirty, it looked as if it had never been cleaned.

The night clerk spoke very little English. It took me 20 minutes to explain that I had already paid for my room. Every time I'd say, "I've already paid for my room." He would reply, "Forty-two ninety-five." Finally he understood and found my paperwork. It took 3 tries to get a smoking room, even though I had requested a smoking room when I booked the room and told him when I checked in as well. Finally, I got a smoking room on the back of the hotel only to find there was not a parking spot to be found. I wound up having to park on the front and walk around the motel in the cold, dark, rain. As for the actual room itself, it was fine. Clean. Big bathtub. Fridge and microwave worked.

I had a very scary run in at this hotel. BE AWARE! I am a 30 something woman who was traveling alone to visit a friend for a reception. The morning of my stay at 6:30 am one of the hotel employees entered my room without knocking or announcing themselves!! He said he was delivering towels once he opened the door and I shouted at him to GET OUT! This was not the only time it happened. About 10:30 am as I was getting ready to leave and check out the same thing happened!!! Only this time I stopped the door from opening telling him check out wasn't until 11am and to get out again. I went down to speak to the office to tell him of the incidents and he refused to tell me his name and that he would give me a 10% discount off my stay, then a 25% discount when I told him this is not going to solve my problem. He finally offered me a free night NEXT TIME I stay there, to which I replied that I guaranteed I would NEVER stay at this hotel again!!

checked in afternoon of the 18th--clerk on duty in office not only unfriendly but rude-- dirty, slovenly in appearance--absolutely the last person in the world that a business would want to greet and represent them to the public--all others that my wife and I came into contact with were clean, neat, smiling and friendly. This one person could be very harmful to their business.

When I first checked in they tried to recharge me again. My room rad the stains all over the pillowcases. I had a double bed room yet they had 2 washcloths and 2 towels, I asked for more they brough 2 more towels 1 had a spider in it. The next morning at 10:40 as we were finishing packing the guy comes in while we were still in there doing what we needed to do and starts taking all the sheets and towels. The most awkward feeling when checkout is 11am.It just seemed very family owned and cut a lot of corners where they could to save money by any means.

Disappointed at what we paid compared to other motels during the same trip. The night auditor could have been friendlier.

Whe we arrived, a new person that could barely speak english and did not know what he was doing we checking us in and had to be guided every step of the way. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. The cleaning staff hovered over us and couldn't wait for us to check out so they could get their job done. I would not stay here again.
