Clean room, nice kitchen
It isn't too clear that this is a Motel, but it really is. The location off the highway is downright strange but if you can get a good rate, this is a clean, friendly place to stay. Room comfort has lower marks because the window air conditioner is covered by curtains. It was hot inside so we had to leave the curtains open to get the air. We faced the highway, so that wasn't ideal.

Visit the Iditorod Headquarters just down the road. You can ride a sled pulled by dogs for $10/person.

Newer Facility, good location
Excellent location for a jump off North to Denali or Fairbanks, South to Anchorage or the Kenai peninsula.

Not for the casual driver.Take the drive up to the top of HATCHER PASS. Fantastic views.

Pleasant but not spectacular
For a quick stay in Wasilla, this is not a bad place. There is a kitchen, refrigerator, dining room table for longer stays. However, the TV was very small and mounted so that watching from the closer couch was difficult and watching from the far away bed was also difficult. There was a major water leak in the bathroom that we found upon returning to our room at about 11 pm. It appeared that the room above had a major leak. We were given towels to put on the water, no effort was made to clean it up while we were there.

great for Alaskan's
not a fancy place but roomy with couch, stove, refrig etc. ideal for the easy going alaska traveler that doesn't need 4 stars to be comfortable...safe and comfortable
