Great stay!
Great room! Very clean and spacious. Free Internet. Suite with kitchen. Housekeeping only once a week but it didn't bother me since I was only there for a night. Sort of remote. Good if you're heading towards down the peninsula, but not if you want to be around Seward or something.

Rate Misleading - Nice Hotel
The rate advertised was misleading. It states you need a government ID to get that rate. Last I knew a drivers license or passport was a government ID. What they mean is a Government EMPLOYEE ID. We had to pay $20 more per room than we expected. The lodging was very nice & clean and it was still a decent price.

This is a guarenteed good stay
This was a very pleasent hotel to stay in. nice kitchenet, good bed, dark curtins to keep out the midnight sun, clean well constructed bathroom, nice couch, little dining and workstation table. Free coffee in lobby, also coffee maker in room. large fridge, friendly and helpful staff. We used the free computers in the lobby, privately screened off. It didn't have a comp. breakfast, just went to the McDonalds in front.

Very Nice Place
Only spent one Saturday night during the off season, but the hotel is new and the rooms are very nice. The staff was fine. The hotel was quiet. A very pleasant hotel stay indeed. I would recommend it.

Had dinner in Louie's, which is in the Uptown Hotel, just up the road form the Aspen. The food was OK, but rather expensive. The waitress got very irritated when we called attention to a mistake with our order. Also, after we had already ordered from the expensive dinner menu, the table next to us was told about the less expensive sandwiches and burgers menu that was also available. Needless to say, we had been told nothing about that.

Excellent Room & Furnishings
Staff allowed early check-in & changed rooms to one with two full sized beds to accommodate three adults. The kitchenette was minimal, but functional; a BBQ gas grill would have made our joy complete. The promotional rate we paid was a great value. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
