The Silverbow is a charming eleven room boutique hotel in a newly remodeled 1914 building in the heart of historic downtown Juneau. Each guest room is individually decorated and equipped with a private bath, wireless internet, desk and private phone line. In the morning, stroll downstairs to our antique filled lobby and the smell of hot fresh bagels, breads and pastries from our gourmet bakery cafe next door. Our complimentary breakfast also includes fresh fruit, homemade granola, cereals, cheeses, sausage, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice. Coffee and fresh baked cookies await your return each afternoon. Socialize with other guests in the early evening with wine and cheese. Gus Messerschmidt, the original owner, is rumored to maintain a friendly haunting presence to early risers. Must cancel 7 days prior to 2pm day of arrival. 10.00 USD processing fee charged to all cancellations. Must call inn for deposit requirements. Children 3 and under stay free, age 4 and above are charged as an adult.

Great

I was in Juneau on business for 3 days. I chose this hotel because of the previous reviews that stated it was not the typical politicians hangout. It was a bit eclectic and somewhat granola, but, I loved it. Great location, very homey feel. It is attached to a bakery (one of the best in town) that you were given complimentary coupons to for breakfast every morning. The lobby had lots of green and herbal teas available 24/7 as well as free coffee offered in the bakery. This hotel really seemed more like a B&B to me. I stayed in room #202 which I would recommend, especially after seeing some of the other rooms while they were being cleaned...very plain and small. I didn't see them all, of course, but I was very happy with my room. This hotel is not for everybody. It does not have a workout room but it does have a hot tub (located on a rooftop deck) and a small sauna. If you're looking for something a little different, this could be the place.

Silverbow Inn

We live in Southeast Alaska and did a spur of the moment type trip to Juneau. We've stayed in several hotels over the years, but had never stayed at the Silverbow. Making reservations was easy. Our daughters had spent time in Juneau last year and stayed at the Silverbow - they highly recommended it to us. If staying downtown is important to your travel - the Silverbow is perfect. Very nice, we will plan to stay there again.
