Beautiful Location,Older place but it has charm and kept very clean. I would recommend to anyone. Watching the tide come and go was great.No traffic to deal with .It's nestled close to the ocean with a side trails for access.

Simple stay
The hotel didn't have a particularly special look on the outside but was nice and clean on the inside. We liked the view from the private deck. Our stay was quiet and simple. Can be appreciated sometimes

Gets the job done
This is a very plain vanilla hotel and the exterior is like an army barracks. However, the staff was very friendly, the room was clean and we had a very nice ocean view. The main reason to visit this community is for sightseeing and this hotel is well located and is perfectly adequate for a decent place to sleep. Good restaurants are nearby. We would stay there again, but we wouldn't brag about it. Also, room had a small deck, a refrigerator and a microwave.

Great location and great hotel
We thought the hotel was very clean and nice. The view was wonderful. The hotel was within walking distance to restaurants and stores. The owners gave us excellent advise concerning places to eat. All and all it was a great place. I would stay there again and would recommend to anyone.

Good view
Short stay before going fishing. Tried to contact staff after 10 pm but they must lock up for the night.

Pleasantly Surprised
The room was big and had a nice kitchenette. Big windows and balcony had very nice views. A short walk down to the beach was very convenient. The outside did not look as nice as the rooms inside. The rooms felt like a little apartment or cabin - a place we could have stayed for a few more days. We were pleasantly surprised and glad we stayed here.

A simple room with a great view
We went there to see Homer and it's famous eagle population. We didn't stay in the hotel long but when we did it was good. Comfortable beds. TV was small and the room met our needs we would go back again.We have stayed at the best Western right next to it but it's very expensive in the summer. So we were glad we found this place. We were next to the ocean and found a path on the place that lead down to it. Great windows that let you see the vista of Homer, AK.

Just what the doctor ordered!
The view from the room we chose was spectacular. There is an easy trail to the beach for a wonderful coastal walk. The hotel is about a mile from Safeway and several restaurants which the locals recommended. The view rooms are well worth the slight increase in cost over the non view rooms situated in the rear of the property. The owner was very nice and helpful with suggestion about Homer. I would stay here again.

The Homestead Restaurant a few miles out of town was very nice. We heard from several locals that the Cafe Cups, just around the corner from the hotel, was very good also. It was closed on the days that we were there.

Room with a view
Ocean Shores is a comfortable place with an exceptionale view. They had a small sink seperate from the bathroom and a small refrigerator also. It has beach access and a nice porch to enjoy the view.
