Near Denali

Very neat and clean cabins near a creek about 10 miles from Denali National Park. Cabins are small; however, a bargain for the area and well maintained. Restaurant on grounds serves excellent meals with caring and competent staff. We would not hesitate to return. While visiting Denali recommend taking the 13 hour Katishna Tour of the Park -- It travels the 92 miles through the Park with a stop for lunch and activities in Katishna -- Old gold mining site of Eureka, Alaska.

Excellent Location

Excellent picture oppotunities at the hotel. Great food but it takes a while to cook it. They cook from scratch. Bring CD player with CD's since there is no TV or radio stations.

One notch above summer camp

the room was small and fairly clean. But without many amenities we have come to expect for the price. Cozy, but only one notch above a summer camp cabin.

If you can, be sure to drive the Denali Highway (Hwy 8) It is mostly gravel and dirt road for the majority of its 130 miles, but is vista after incredible vista of majesty. Oh, and musn't forget the wildlife viewing opportunities are also great.

A cabin is a cabin

There was six of us traveling. Five frist timers and one aunt who lives here. We were going from Fairbanks to the south. It was a one night stay and the room was smaller than what we pictured. We had to split up and get another cabin next property. They are very basic cabins and comfortable. The place is quiet and we just needed a one night stop. I would not stay with that group again. There is not much for the older generation.

Great Hotel

In general it was great. A phone and perhaps a TV would have been better.

McKinley Creekside Cabins

Quiet and relaxing, used as a stop to go to Denali Park and sight see the areo north of Denali. Nothing missing. Was rustic in a very good way. comfortable, with all necessary ammenities for an relaxing out of town resort. Was nice to not have so many people as in town.

Awesome place, great people

The cabin was just fine as we were only planning on sleeping there and not hanging out. It's right off the main road and easy to get to. The people were so nice. When we got there, we were invited to their annual chili cook off. We didn't know a soul but decided to go anyway, and met some of the nicest people. This was such an enjoyable experience it will forever be remembered. The rooms are fine, its a cabin, you get a nice little front porch and it's very homely. I would recommend especially for younger easy going people. It's inexpensive too.
