Super 8 Anchorage

I checked in mid September, there were bed bugs in the bed. Since I am a resident of Alaska, I've never seen these bugs, but you can be sure I got out of there once I saw them (FYI, since I booked from Orbitz, I did have pay the full reservation price even when I checked out). Normally Super 8 is my go to hotel for Anchorage since they're affordable and the staff there is friendly and always remember me, but I'm afraid that the bugs have canceled that relationship. Please remember to always turn down every blanket on the bed before sleeping the night, it is now October and I still have some bites (which are horrifying and distressing).

Quite satisfied. Courteous an helpful receptionist. Breakfast not exciting, but good. Location ok for coming into town, not so convenient for going out.

Not much to report about. This was our last night in Anchorage and we needed somthing close to the airport because we had a 6:00am flight. The staff was great, the room was comfortable and their shuttle got us to the airport on time. We were not able to take advantage of the breakfast but from past experience at Super 8's i'm sure it was good.

Hotel stay was just overnight. Hotel staff was very helpful and answered any questions I had. I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff. Little pricey because of tourist season.

Our room was not cleaned very well. Housekeeping left their hairs in the bathroom and did not remove dirty cups. We were supposed to get breakfast but both mornings there was nothing there to eat.

Good customer service and very clean and comfortable room. Nothing special but sufficient if all you need is a good night of rest without all of the bells and whistles.

The shuttle bus from the airport to the motel was a great help to us as we arrived late at night, and our rental car company was not at the airport, and was closed. The staff of the motel were very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Unfortunately, hotel prices in Anchorage are egregious in the summer, and you will pay over $100 for a room that costs less than half that in the lower 48. That said, I knew that with the Super 8 name, I was booking a 2-star hotel, and that is what I got. The room was clean, though it was a little dingy and threadbare. The "continental breakfast" consisted of a selection coffee, mini-danishes, fruit loops, and juice. I would not consider staying here long-term, but for an overnight it is acceptable and relatively affordable.
