I've stayed at much better

The room was not very clean and the fan was filthy that we had to use. The bed was lumpy. There was only 1 of everything in the bathroom and when asked for more towels or extra pillow, they didn't have any! There was no paper or pen in the room to jot down things and no comment card or the staff asking how the stay was. I do not recommend this hotel.

It's OK

The room was clean and big but they only had a shower stall in the bathroom. Everything was old and outdated and towels had holes. You had to keep the windows open if you wanted any kind of air flow and the windows were low so you could hear everyone in the parking lot all night from the second floor. However they did have soap shampoo and washclothes and with our experience with other hotels around town that's a big deal. We have come to realize that in Alaska customer service does not mean anything. They want their money get in get out.

Go to Walmaart! Great souveniers and THE place to buy your outdorr equipment. Don't forget a cooler and some snacks in case you are on the banks reeling them in and don't have time for lunch!

Alaskan all the way!

We had a late arrival ~ greeted by friendly folks with directions to the local Walmart. Nice comfy bed for the night. Great breakfast to get us started on our next adventure.

Long House Alaska Hotel

Very basic hotel. Old, dirty carpets in the lobby, entryway, on the stairs and hallways. No room service at all on Saturday. Continental breakfast consists of cereal, juice, coffee and bagels.English muffins. There was pancake mix available but the griddle was not cleaned after use. On Saturday, the garbage cans in the breakfast area were overflowing from the previous day, and dirty dishes lay in the sink. Postage stamp size towels.

Pretty Good for a 2 Star Hotel

Temporary between apartments. The carpet appeared clean, but it wasn't. The breakfast was 2 types of cereal, assorted pastry, apple juice, coffee & tea and waffles you could cook. We had to ask for an extra bath towel every time the room was serviced. The hotel staff was kind. The room we had was quiet. The street was busy but I didn't hear anything. Good stay.

It is a 2 star place to stay.

The hotel allowed pets and the carpets looked alright. The room was at the lowest heat setting, but it stayed hot, which is good. The king size bed was good. The continental breakfast was a little better than most. They only gave you one bath towel and you had to ask for another one from the front desk. The hotel staff was good.

worth the money

Bush teachers, passing through for shopping and appointments. Did not stay in the room much, just used it for sleeping and packing. No air conditioning or bath tub (stand up shower). Pet friendly!!! For the money, it was well worth it!
