Over night stay
The bed was so comfy. There was a hot tub in the room, and the hotel was in a quiet location. The only other thing I'd recommend is, for the hotel to advertise on the website, that they offer Alaska Airline points with the stay.

Hampton, Hilton Garden, The Coast
I always stay at the Hampton when I have to be in town for business. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clean and the beds and pillows are SO VERY comfortable! The bathroom is small but adequate. Shower is great. Nice TV, good channel selection. The wifi is complimentary. The shuttle is also complimentary (they will take you anywhere in town and pick you up again, not just the airport). I've never had any problem with noise. There is a great, complimentary continental breakfast served in the lobby. Waffles, a couple of hot buffet choices, cereal, toast, muffins, pastries, juices, and there is always a staff member replenishing as needed. Very nice. My only issue is there is no in-house restaurant or room service. In the summer you can get food delivered from a local restaurant. Applebee's is also right out front, across the parking lot. I would recommend this hotel. It is expensive, especially in the summer, but you have to expect that in Anchorage for the higher quality hotels. This one is good value in my opinion (I'm pretty picky). I've stayed here 9 times over the last year and the only problem I had was when they once overbooked and they had to send me to another hotel (they arranged everything but they sent me to a hotel that was not even close to their quality, I almost didn't go back to the Hampton, but the beds are so comfortable...). I've also stayed at the Hilton Garden and it's similar in quality (no continental bf, no restaurant, but slightly nicer amenities, higher cost). If you're looking for something about $100 cheaper and aren't as picky as me, try the Coast. The staff is so friendly, they also have a complimentary shuttle. No elevator. Loud bathroom fans (goes on with the light). I stayed there last year a few times and the room was ok. Kind of threadbare and smells a little stale and smoked-in. Clean, though. They have a decent restaurant and room service. Good for the price. Safe part of town, near the airport. That covers the 3 hotels I've stayed at. Good luck!

Not a good stay.
We took Grandkids for one night for spring break and the hotel was remodeling. The jacuzzi was not working and the pool area was dirty. We went down for breakfast and the elevator was not working. The hallway was dirty and there was a pizza box laying on the floor.

One of the best and safest places relax
We took advantage of the swimming pool while we were their. It was great for older children but for my son we had to watch him. The other hotels don't provide shuttle service, Hampton does that is why I love to stay their.

Hotel visit
I booked this hotel because of the local and specifically because it had a pool for my son. The hotel was good but the pool was not clean and my son refused to use it because it "smelled like pee and was yellow". I payed more for this hotel just so he would have a pool that he could not use. [...]

Great location close to the airport.
We always like to stay at Hampton Inns as they are a good value for your money. The Anchorage hotel was no exception. It was a great location within walking distance to numerous restaurants. They had a free shuttle to airport and other locations. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave and a nice couch and desk. The bed was very comfortable,a king pillow top that looked and felt very new. The room was cleaned every day that we were staying, which was a week. I used the laundry facilities which were very nice. I also used the business center which had two computers that you could use to print boarding passes, check email or just browse for locations or things to do. The staff were wonderful and anything I asked for they provided. Very friendly and knew what they were doing. I also found the beautiful flowers as you entered the hotel to be just an added bonus. The week we were there, they were booked solid every night. So I guess we are not the only people who enjoy staying at this Hampton Inn in Anchorage. I would recommend staying there. It is nice to have the buffet breakfast that is included in the price. We found that saved us $20 a day. So book a trip and enjoy Alaska I know we did.

Short walk from hotel
We enjoyed eating at "the Diner" were we had a French Dip sandwich that was so big we took half back to the hotel for lunch the next day. The Applebees is right in front of the hotel and they have an incredible choclate cake with ice cream. There is a grocery nearby which is nice for lunch fixings so you can have a picnic.
