This was a typical low cost budget hotel experience. The property is older and not as bright as other locations. It was worth ... the price for a place to sleep, shower, and have breakefast.

Our room was across from the lobby, so it wasn't especially quiet. Also, Mc D's was right outside our 1st floor room, so ... there was a bit of traffic noise. However, it was cheap, we were only there for a night and if we had the midnight munchies, we could have hopped right out the window and walked to McD's in a flash! I would mention that the doors were locked when we got there at midnight, and we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to get to the desk. When I got inside, I got yelled at for not using my card, even though I hadn't checked in yet!

Great place to stay..one day or more!
Robin Sep 28, 2009
We were in Anchorage to see the Lion King. We especially enjoyed the kitchen area, so we were able to order pizza in and fix ... our own breakfast on Sunday morning, to save a little money not having to eat out!

Great location
Qupik Mar 3, 2009
Great location to the movie theater, shopping & dining. We traveled with a pet (dog) and chose to stay at Extended Stay ... because of the great rate. But, there seem to be fleas in hotel. A lot of carpet fresh was sprayed on the carpet in the room and made all of our eyes runny.

Make yourself at home
Silvia Sep 4, 2008
It was very convenient to have a kitchen with stove, full size refrigerator (not mini-bar), sink, microwave, and utensils. ... The room is divided into living area and bedroom so there is enough space around. 2 TVs, one on each area. They are pet friendly so next time I will come with my pet. Couldn't check-in when I got there it was too early so I had to wait around, luckily they had a business center so I was able to check my email while I waited. Room had internet acces. Will stay here again.

Centrally Located
Dean Sep 16, 2007
The Extended Stay Deluxe Anchorage is very centrally located, and all parts of town are accessable within a few minutes. The ... front desk clerk was very courteous and knowledgeable. The main center hallway was a bit dirty, with stained carpet, and had an odd oder, but the room was very clean and comfortable.

Great value for the price
susan Sep 14, 2007
This hotel is in an ideal location for sightseeing Anchorage attractions and venturing out from the city. All the rooms in ... the suite were large and comfortable-bedroom separate from living area and bath. The staff was very efficient and quick to respond to our requests' for more towels and blankets. Only coffee is provided in the mornings; however, there are many fast food stops and resturants in the area. Considering the high cost of lodging in Anchorage, this hotel is a bargain. We would stay there again.

The Moose Tooth is a favorite dining spot for locals (casual: great pizza and sandwhiches, microbrewery) ; it is right across the street. A Wal-Mart is nearby as is a local grocery.

My review of Extended Stay Deluxe Anchorage - Midtown
Tracy Sep 12, 2007
They did reimburse for the taxi there as the shuttle wasn't running. The carpets were stained. There weren't any bagels ... or fruit and the gourmet coffee bar consisted of two pots of coffee. There were several restaurants within walking distance.

Alladin's, about 3 blocks south of th hotel, has amazing Mediterranean food. I highly recommend the Med Shrimp, mint tea and the Bread of Tunisia.

My review of ExtendedStayDeluxe ANC-Midtown
Patricia Jul 10, 2007
The Extended Stay Deluxe ANC Midtown was comfortable. It had a kitchen complete with a fridge, microwave and two burner ... stove; as well as kitchen utensils. They seemed to always be short staffed so when we wanted another blanket or pillow, the staff made it seem like we were inconveniencing them. They also kept the Sweet N Low in a SAFE!!! We had to practically beg for more. But the hotel did have the baggage carts to make luggage transfer easier, the location was fine for us (right next door to a popular watering hole...The Moose's Tooth), and parking seemed adequate. We missedhaving a contintental breakfast, but assume that when you get a kitchen, you don't also get free food. All in all, I would stay there again.

Face it....nothing in Anchorage is far from anywhere else. But the Sears Mall is close by as is Fred Myers, and the University is just a short ride, also.
