Smells Funny, Not as Advertised
Sums it up. Some of the staff was friendly enough, but the tone was set when we arrived and the couch had what appeared to be a large bodily fluid stain on it. I flipped the cushion and the other side was worse. This site and the hotel's own website list breakfast being available Monday-Friday which is not being done. When I asked about it, the front desk pretty much laughed at me. This site doesn't allow the option yet, but I stayed January 2013.

functional and adequate
Since this hotel is an extended stay-each room has a bedroom as well as kitchen/living room . Room features are functional, but not superior quality. Long dingy hallways. Wifi is 'free' but slow. There is an internet upgrade available for a minimal charge. The hotel had maintenance issues during my stay which resulted in no hot water one morning. The hotel promptly provided a refund for that night. Appreciated the immediate and responsive refund. Front desk employees are pleasant. Convenient location. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants.

Check the room or bring ear plugs
By 10pm I was noticing an increasing noise that sounded like a broken jet engine. By 11pm it was unbareable; I called the desk and they said "your in room #xxxx?" The washers / dryers are above and make that noise all night. Checking on-line they have had this same complaint since 2007 and still do nothing about it. I had to leave to another hotel and they gouged me the extra day's rate... Dirty carpets, worn furniture and thin sheets were the least of the issues....

Not as good as the photos, but great anyway!
The photos they post online make it look larger and cleaner than the suite I got, but it was still a great place to stay. The room was ultra quiet, comfortable, and I enjoyed the location quite a bit. I loved having a kitchenette and they provide dished and cookware. The only drawbacks I can think of is that the cable is very limited, there is no pay-per view, and the room temperature was difficult (but not impossible) to regulate. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good experience.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Get on highway one and travel south to Seward, the mountain views are stunning, there are plenty of places to stop, hike, play, or just enjoy the majesty of the scenery.

Disappointed
The location and laundry facilities are good, but the attitude and service/work ethic of the front desk clerks is disappointing. Though the check in clerk was friendly and helpful, the other clerks were cold and seemed annoyed when asked for clean towels, additional trash bags, and change for the washers and dryers. And, the free wifi didn't work! I will NOT recommend this hotel to others.

Disappointing
Upon arriving, we noticed several windows open and the outside temp. was around 25 degrees. When we entered our room, it was very warm so we went to turn off the heat and found it already off. After an hour or so we realized that we weren't going to be able to sleep without also opening our window. Then we contended with the traffic noise from the fast food restaurant outside our window. There was a "living room" but it consisted of a sofa, coffee table, t v on a shelf and an overhead light. Not too inviting. We always try to be objective in our reviews but we had read about the heat problems in other reviews so we knew this was not a singular incident. We were thankful that we'd only booked one night of our three night stay in Anchorage.
