Overnight stay
I booked the room on-line, when you book on line, it guarantees you a room, but not what type, I reserved a non-smoking, 2 queen bed room, but upon check-in, I got a 2 queen bed, smoking room.

Definitely not what I had expected
The best thing is that it was clean. After that, the negative things kept coming up. I was within 20 feet of the ice/vending machines as well as the floor's trash room. So there was plenty of activity outside my door. I had to be up before 7am each morning of my very mentally intense week so I didn't get quite get the sleep I had hoped for. Also, when the writeup says extra charges may apply, it includes paying to park in the hotel parking lot, taking your own used towels down to the front desk if you stay less than a week, and a user fee for wireless internet. I just wish I would have known all of this before arrived.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Glacier Brewhouse is an amazing restaurant downtown. It's fine dining in a more casual setting. The food is awesome. The staff is professional but very friendly. Also, Applebees was great. The staff made you feel at home.

okay for price
It was okay for price but many negative things. Very poor breakfast, had 2 items begals or fruit, no shampoo, no extra blankets, no towles at the pool, hottub waas way to hot, no movies to order, no free parking, and one night smoke alarm went off all night. We were upgraded due to complications and the kitchen was good with large room. Very quite and they allowed dogs at no extra cost.

Pictures show what you don't get.
This hotel was not the best that I have been in by far. It is very noisy because you can hear the guest above you, as well as the ones on the same floor as you. The walls are paper thin and the floors are too. The halls always have a bad smell from guest cooking. The pool was extremely small and ice cold, with barely any heat in the whirl pool. The beds were cheap and extremely uncomfortable. And for the entire four days that I was there, I did not see a housekeeper. Its not a great stay and the worse that I have been at in all of anchorage.

Good value & nice pool
We just wanted a clean room for a good night's rest while in Anchorage to do some Christmas shopping and go to a business meeting. We really liked the idea of the pool and exercise room too. We ended up just resting in the hot tub. The room was clean and everything was satisfactory. It would have been nice to have some coffee in the room (to use in the coffee maker) and some kleenex. The price was very good, so the value was good. But there were a lot of little touches MISSING that would have made this a high rating.

good place to stay
the room was clean and large enough to live in. there was a microwave, a stove top and a few pots and pans. the bathroom was also clean and adequately furnished. the only lower rating was for the breakfast bar which was scantly: a few bagels, hot coffee/tea and apples and oranges. they could do much better in this area. personnel were friendly and helpful.

Not So Hot
First room assigned was 55 degrees and the room heater would not work. Assigned a nearby room with heat but no TV remote and apparently no maid. Old coffee in the coffee pot, dust everywhere, a very dirty window glass. Lights, plumbing, TV and Internet connection all worked. Location in Anchorage and adjacent car parking were convienient. I would only recommend this to a friend as a last resort place to stay.

All good except....
Very clean room, except bedspread was stained (rolled up and put on floor), flat sheet instead of fitted (sheet displaced during the night/not good for keeping mattress clean). Quiet, comfortable, good downtown location and easy to get to other main streets to go places; did charge $5 to park in their lot, but lots of street parking as long as you were gone by 9 am; internet service fee - Overall it was a good hotel for the price
