Paper thin walls - you can hear every conversation in the next room. sad smelly room with bed covers not washed in years. spend a couple of bucks more and stay somewhere else...

My room
Hated the Eagle Nest in Anchorage, walls to thin you heard ever person walking the halls, floors don't have carpet so the where cold was not able to turn down heat. Will not stay there again

Kinda sketchy
This was my first trip to Alaska & I was very excited to explore it. My boss let me go for work as long as I didn't spend a ton on the expenses, so I chose Americas Best Inn to save some money. It ended up to be a huge mistake. It was VERY dirty. Tiles in the bathroom were cracked and broken with the grout was crumbled leaving tiles loose. The place looked like they would wipe things off, but never clean them. The floor and base boards were collecting dust and I felt very uncomfortable leaving my belongings there. The shower did not match the rest of the decor and it's door did not latch properly allowing water out onto the bathroom floor (soaking my clothes). The only amenity I asked for was an iron to press my clothes for work the next day. They only had one and a table top ironing board that was stained and gross. The iron was very old and the bottom looked as if it was corroding. I will NEVER go back.

Glacier Berewery was great! It was very lively and offered a beer flight to sample 5 of their beers. There were many shops downtown and free rides to the Ulu factory where a complimentary reindeer hotdog was available.

Do not stay here!!!
I went to this hotel because it was rated as 3 stars. What a joke!! It was a filthy pigsty, with low lives in the halls and I venture to guess all sorts of bad things going down. I refused to stay and was told "if you don't like the room you don't have to stay". Guess what ,my credit card was still charged and when I called the hotel they told me"you stay,no stay,still charge ,you no cancel 72 hrs!" Believe me ,I have traveled in Vietnam,Laos,Cambodia,Thailand and am not a snooty hotel guest,but this place was worse than anything I have stayed in! Even though they cost a bit more you might want to try a true 3 star hotel,(Westmark,Sheriton,Hilton, etc.)good luck!

Disappointed
We arrived after 11 p.m. and intended to leave early the next day. The people were nice and are trying hard, but the room was smoky and outdated. Bed was firm and comfortable but bed linens were old. Bath towels were nice but all fixtures were old. Parking is limited. Halls are dirty.

The most pathetic hotel
The ceiling of the restroom started leeking in the morning.... very small ... therestroom was disgusting ... wont recommend anyone to stay ... it doesnt matter whether u have money or not ... dont go there
