Imposing grand hall with annexe rooms

We stayed in Eynsham Lodge annexe. The room was quite basic, the bed not the most comfortable, but a very good shower with rain shower head. We ate in the Gun Room bar and had an exceptionally good meal but unfortunately the service was very slow. Because of this our desserts were complimentary. Breakfast was also very good (buffet style with lots of choice). Overall very good.

rather misleading

Stunning building set in lovely grounds , however the accomadation is around the side of the main building in annexes. The rooms are well decorated and nicely furnished, but are the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in. Okay for 1 night but would not want to stay much longer as the small room is rather claustrophobic. Breakfast was taken in the main hotel and was very good. Hotel was in the middle of no-where,but countryside was pleasant.

Family stay

The look of the hotel in its settings is stunning. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of food and attentive staff. Swimming pool was very nice but in need of better changing facilities .What lets it down is the actual accommodation away from the hotel, the room myself and granddaughter were in was a double although it is only the size of a single room. in need of an upgrade and the birds mess covering the window did not help either.

Lovely overnight escape

Great for a short get away break. Good breakfast included in my b&b price. Pool and gym also good, though quite busy. Lovely bar and nice restaurant. Got a good price on the room, so consequently was put in the eves of a cottage in the grounds, but this was all fine and only a short walk from the main hotel. No wifi in the cottage though, just the main public space in the main building.

perfect for a romantic gettaway

We were absolutely stunned as drove into the grounds and thought we were in the local National Trust property. It got better on opening the door to our room, as not only did we have a bedroom, but also a sitting room, an ensuite in both, two TVs and two tea trays. The only down side was that it was too cold to explore the grounds and we were not there long enough to take advantage of the leisure facilities. The restaurant and Gun Room Bar were both very comfortable and food was very good, as was the service. Can't wait to return in the good weather.

room

When booking requested any room other than one with eaves, when we arrived we were allocated the room with eaves. The hotel was full and therefore could not be changed. Other than the room being disappointing the overall standard oif the hotel was fantastic and the staff were subperb. Would recomend this hotel but would suggest a stay in the main hotel or cottage not ENYSHAM LODGE...

Stay in the right rooms

The main building is fabulous and this is where you should stay. The cottages are very noisy and you can hear a pin drop in the adjacent rooms.

Not worth the price

Our reservations were all messed up when we arrived. Our room had been givin to someone else. The rooms were not very clean and the staffed tried to charge us again for our room. Not a good experience.
