The bus from Heathrow to hotel requires that your must pay 8 pounds sterling to get to the hotel. No English money, no ... service. After waiting for the bus, we then had to go back into the airport, change $20 to get pounds and go back and wait for another half an hour for the next bus. Sheraton Heathrow lacks customer service
Terry Nov 9, 2009
Stopover at Heathrow for the night on transit to Boston from St. Petersburg. Breakfast staff were unfriendly and I was made ... to wait while they checked whether I was entitled to breakfast at my rate. I mentioned I was paying my own, but was still refused seating until I signed a blank invoice. I replied I did not know what I was going to have since they did not seat me and give me a menu. They said that was the system and if I did not like it I could complain to management. In most hotel the staff would have seated the customer first, give him his menu, and determine if the customer's breaskfast was included at the host station. The system was not customer friendly. I walked out and had breakfast at the airport at 1/3 the price!

Good airport hotel, excellent service
Rachel Oct 20, 2009
I've stayed overnight at this hotel a couple of times now, and it provides a comfortable stopover if you're passing through ... Heathrow. The rooms & the hotel generally are as well-appointed and maintained as you would expect for the price & the hotel chain. The room was quiet. My only (minor) niggle was the a/c had fixed temperature settings which were either slightly too cool or too warm. The food at the restaurant was good, if not spectacular, though a little expensive. The quality of the service, particularly the reception personnel, was very good and more friendly than I've encountered at hotels of other large chains.

Great stay for Heathrow Airport
The Traveling Welshman Sep 27, 2009
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We checked in late and checked out early. So, it wasn't a long stay, but a great ... place to rest before/after a long flight. The staff set us up with a taxi the night before our departure so that it was ready exactly when we wanted to leave the next morning. This is a great place to stay if you are traveling through Heathrow. Not a place to stay for holiday in London..to far away.

The hotel was generally good. The on location restaurant was very expensive ($21.00 for a juice and roll). Internet service ... was not cheap either. The staff was very good at solving problems and general help. The bathroom was nice except for the toilet which would not flush properly. Great bus service to the airports and taxi's were readily available. I would stay there again and would recommend the hotel over all except for the dining services and believe me there were not many people dining at the hotel.

Nice hotel, but difficult to get to
London Visitor Sep 14, 2009
The hotel is clean and the staff was helpful. When we arrived we got into our room without any problems. The things that I ... didn't like was the location. It was directly outside the airport, but it still took a good 10-15 minutes to reach because of how Heathrow is situated. You have to take a bus to the hotel which is not walkable and there is only a chinese restaurant and a McDonalds across the street. If you are planning on sleeping there the night before you leave i suggest a hotel closer to the Underground stations which is more convenient.

Most employees were helpful. It is very expensive and difficult to get from Heathrow to the hotel. I thought it would be ... "close". Had to take the Airport Hoppa service. $16 for a one way trip. What a pain. Guess I could take a taxi at 3X the price. Why don't they offer free shuttle like LAX? I guess I will answer the question myself.....can anyone say "profit"? Room was hot. No AC. Put the "Air" on lowest temp setting and woke up sweating. Hallways were in need of some carpet repairs. Room was well worn but OK for a quick stopover.

Jason Aug 28, 2009
This hotel's rooms are old and dingy. There are many amenities, but they will nickel and dime you to death. They did ... include a big spider in my room at no extra charge. It is close to LHR, but that is about the only good thing I have to say about what was supposedly a 4-star hotel.

Sheraton Heathrow
Dasymetric Aug 25, 2009
Hotel was conveniently located near Heathrow airport, but required a 4 pound shuttle ride. No free hotel transfers in London ... I was told. Was a constant noise of departing jets during the day, but nights were quiet. Our room was as far from the elevator as one could get, but made up for that with a stunning view of the trash containers and a hedge. Check in and check out went smoothly and the staff were friendly and courteous. Facilities were very good, but meals and food were very expensive in dollars. Dinner was about 30 pounds per person. Most everything in London is expensive and you can figure about 1.7 dollars per pound. A can of soda at the hotel was 2.25 pounds. Fortunately found a McDonalds across the street and so could get a sausage McMuffin for breakfast for under 3 pounds.

Excellent Airport Facility!
N/A Aug 18, 2009
This was a very brief stay on the way to an early flight the following morning. The facility was spotless and very customer ... oriented. I especially liked the buffet in the restaurant. It is not very often that one finds excellent food and a very reasonable price at airport hotels. This was a 10. The party I had traveled with is a NATO employee, and has flown in/out of Heathrow over 200 times. He usually stays at the Holiday Inn down the street. I will relay my experiance to him. Super job!

SHORT DRIVE TO AIRPORT
--LIKES TO TRAVEL, FLORIDA Aug 14, 2009
There were not too many locations nearby to eat -- although we did find a cool little pub called the "white horse" within walking distance (great chilie nachos & real ale) -- ask the hotel desk for details. There is a McDonalds directly accross the street too -- good for quick & cheap breakfast. Also there is a gas stn next to it for filling up the rental - convienient.
--Bill, Colorado Springs, CO Jul 24, 2009
If you have three or four people in your party, it is cheaper, (and much FASTER), to use Taxi's, rather than the Hotel Hoppa bus.
--Frequent Flyer, Princeton, NJ Jul 15, 2009
The N54 Hoppa Bus stops right in front and takes you to Heathrow's terminals...(one bus for terminals 1,2,3 and another for BA's terminal 5).

McDonalds and gas bar with convenience store are across the room. We went to the store for snacks, pop and adult beverages while McDonalds provided an inexpensive hot breakfast to grab on the way to the airport.

Short walk to the bus stop if you do not want to take the hotel hoppa back and forth to the airport to catch the tube.

Take a taxi to the airport instead of Hotelhoppa. It's only 2 pounds extra, and you won't be stressing out when the bus is very late.
