A very charming hotel. (GW 05/2009) It is a 16th Century Coaching Inn with attractive wooden beams. The George hotel is situated in the market town of Wallingford, between Oxford and Reading. Sited in the centre of town, it offers convenient access to shops, banks and other amenities. Regular buses run to Oxford, Reading, and other local towns from the Market Square, just a short walk from the hotel and a taxi rank is located there beside the Town Hall.
The 39 rooms are quite small but very clean and kept in very good condition. The Bathrooms are in good condition. The rooms now provide every modern facility required. There are a number of executive guestrooms available.
