Once home to the Bishop of Exeter, the luxurious Palace Hotel is set in 25 acres of gardens leading to Ansteys Cove; the Italian rose garden is worth exploring with a myriad of colors and scents. The Torquay Restaurant serves a delicious fusion of English and French cuisine with locally sourced seafood and meat; light meals are available in the Lounge/Bar where large French doors lead onto the Terrace. The Hotel boasts impressive indoor and outdoor sports/leisure facilities including a challenging 9-hole golf course and putting green. There are 2 swimming pools, an indoor heated pool with sauna and an outdoor heated pool, open in the summer months. The Hotel is equipped with 4 outdoor tennis courts and 2 indoor courts, plus 2 squash courts and a coach can be booked in advance. The fitness suite has a selection of gym equipment and weights. There are also 2 Snooker tables, a Croquet lawn and a play area for children. The Hotel offers free on-site parking and free WiFI in public areas.
