Review of Imperial Hotel Torquay - The Hotel Collection

Good hotel but be aware!
The general experience at the hotel was very good and the staff were all very helpful although. The hotel is really nice and the sea views were fantastic once we eventually got the rooms that we had booked online. We were told that the rooms were
standard doubles without seaview even though I had booked kingsize rooms with a seaview. The lady said she had to speak to the manager after I raised the discrepancy and came back saying we shouldn't have got these rooms for the price we did but thay they would upgrade us!!! I thought that was quite cheeky as it was nothing to do with an upgrade but just getting what we had paid for! So be careful that they don't change things and you get the room you have booked online.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
We were told of 2 Michelin Star restaurants just down the road and had dinner in one which was Fantastic.
