This is an excellent choice of hotel for guests wishing to stay in a comfortable traditional property in the centre of town. A hugely popular hotel and excellent for leisure guests. (KB 03/08) Traditional hotel, originally built in 1640, although a modern conservatory and bedroom block extension has been built at the back. The hotel also has very spacious gardens for guests to relax in during the summer. Car parking available on site for guests. Is situated in the centre of town, perfect for exploring the riches of this historical city. Just minutes from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the lovely River Avon. Close to the Cotwolds the hotel is located well to explore the surrounding countryside.

Rooms are medium in size and in good decor. The bedrooms consist of 53 in the modern section of the building and 20 in the original building. All rooms have bath and shower, television and hospitality tray. Most of the rooms in the new wing have been completely refurbished but there are still some in the old wing to be done. The style of decor in the bedrooms is very cottage like.
24 hour room service
RV or truck parking
Television with cable
Hotel has one restaurant which is very bright and spacious.

It is off season. The room had a single bed. You couldn't swing a cat in the room without hitting the walls--for which neither the walls (which could use painting) nor the cat would have been happy. You bumped into the flat screen TV on the wall
going to and from the very small bathroom. The price should have be 25-33% less. The room reminded me of Harry Potter's room beneath the stairs in the original movie.
