Stirling Castle

For those wishing a place close to Stirling Castle, this is the place. It's a short drive, or walk to the castle. Rooms were decent, and clean.

Good value but noisy

Excellent location and very helpful staff. Room clean but quite dark and no central lighting . Breakfast was good and nice leisure suite. We were woken both nights by noise in the corridor from other guests. This was not because they were rowdy, just normal conversation, but the noise insulation was not good.

stunning, historic and comfortable

This is a wonderful place, an ancient stone structure with amazing detail, like Harry Potters' school It felt like taking a step back in time but with all modern amenities. Its right in the center of Stirling, walking distance from everything. The staff were always pleasant, kind and went out of their way to help. My only minor critique is that the 24 hour room service was a bit difficult to access as it seemed there was only one staff member on duty during the night to handle reception, switchboard, room service, clean up and security. A bit much for one person, so the phones didnt get answered for a while.

Okay, But no Light

Good location a block or so from Stirling castle. Liked exploring the old school and the room was okay. No complaints except there was no overhead light and all the lamps had very dim bulbs so we couldn't read at night.
