Follow signs to the Town Centre along Seamer Road then turn right into Falsgrove road. At the second set of traffic lights turn right then immediately turn left. Go through the next set of traffic lights and over the mini roundabout, then take the second right into St Nicholas Cliff where the Travelodge is located.

Use the slopes to get to the beach area rather than the steps - there are more than you can see!

Dont stay here

So I booked a cheap twin room here for one night as a treat for my 7 year old daughter during the half term holidays. On arrival the council had the road dug up for re-surfacing works, I thought the hotel may have contacted people who had booked to let them know but no there not that thoughtful. I managed to park my car across town and went for a wander around. I arrived at the hotel at 2.40pm and asked where I could park, I was shrugged at by the receptionist and then ignored so I asked if I could check in, I was told I couldnt check in for 20 mins as she was busy then was ignored so we left to find some entertainment for my daughter. When we arrived back to check in we were told we were in a double room when I'd specified a twin, I was then told nothing could be done as they were full, I was then told I was on the 3rd floor and the lifts didnt work so I had to carry the luggage up alone. On entering the room I was very disappointed indeed, the view was of another room window, it was freezing cold as the radiators didnt work, there was ONE double socket but only one side worked and the smell of mustyness was horrible. When it came to bedtime, my daughter had a shower (there was no bath) then settled into bed ready to sleep, just then there was a very loud knocking at the door which startled both of us, it was the receptionist and manager asking if somone had flooded the bathroom or had a shower as there was water coming through the ceiling downstairs, I replied that my daughter had had a shower about 40 mins earlier and she was about to go to sleep, the manager said he needed to see the bathroom and walked straight through the bedroom (where my daughter was sleeping) then accused me of flooding the floor as it was damp, yes a small bit of water after my daughter had her shower, there was no floor mat and obvious water marks and stains on the bedroom wall where the shower has obviously been leaking for a good while. I asked him to leave. Worst nights sleep ever, sharing a bed with a wriggling 7 year old on a mattress that dipped in the middle and pillows that were like cardboard. I complained to the receptionist on leaving and was told I could have 50% off my next stay, I politely declined as I would NEVER stay there again. Horrible old musty building full of damp and mould and very rude management who dont care about their guests.

Awful!

We stayed here for 1 night in May while we attended a family wedding in Scarborough and it was an awful experience. On arrival the room wasn't made up for a family as there wasn't a bed made up for the kids even though I'd rang up the night before and checked that they definately had the room booked for a family of 4. The room was dirty, the walls need painting, the bathroom floor and the carpet were both filthy and to top it all off the room was on a slope. The walls were also paper thin as you could here every conversation in the next room and the ceiling shook when the people above moved around loudly. When I complained the staff on reception assured me that the childrens beds would be made up while we were out but when we arrived back later there was still no duvet cover on one of the kids duvets so had to complain again, then next morning we realised that there were only towels for 1 guest. Quite frankly we couldn't wait to leave the next day, the only bonus was that we could see the sea from our window.
