Reading's Nice
The rooms are straight out of Dwell magazine. Very nice. The restaurant's food is good, too. Can't beat the location in downtown Reading. They should use different sheets on the beds, though, because they're jersey and they trap things, like hair. Also you can control the thermostat (I like it on the warm side), but it never seemed warm enough in my room, though the comforters were toasty.

There are a slew of restaurants along the River Kennet across from the Oracle about a ten minute walk from the hotel. They're all good.

A funky, functional room. I especially loved sleeping in the 'HUGE' bed and the shower room/bathroom was first class. Definitely a home-from-home experience - will stay again without hesitation.

A hidden jem, doesnt look much
A hidden jem, doesnt look much from outside but inside is very nicely renovated. Lovely lounge/bar and restaurant downstairs. Comfy beds, good location for shopping and trains to London. Staff distracted with renovations still being finalised and not overly helpful. Take a lap top for free wifi, no internet PC for use.

The cleanliness and facilities
The cleanliness and facilities scores are a little low as the place is being refurnished. Looks like it will be very good once completed so I will definitely stay there again. Reading has long been short of decent hotels.
