Parkside International Rooms

- All the rooms are large and well designed - the hotel only opened in Summer 2004 so the property is in a very good condition.Such are the size of a lot of the Double rooms, that they come with an extra single bed, which is an excellent feature for families with a child.

- Based on the ground floor, the Brasserie restaurant serves Breakfast, lunch and Dinner is large with a marble tiled floor. The restaurant area also has large leather sofas around the edges and coffee is served thorough the day.

A very adequate hotel at a competitive
A very adequate hotel at a competitive price when we stayed there. We were surprised to find no information on the hotel in the room. The Manager on duty said that menus etc are on the website, but that is no help if you have not checked it. We think the hotel should promote its very good restaurant otherwise guests will just eat elsewhere.

1st impressions of the hotel were
1st impressions of the hotel were very good, the staff on the desk could have looked a bit happier. the room was of a reasonable standard, the only complaint was that when we returned at night we found that none of the lights worked, wasnt worth calling to the desk as we just wanted to go to sleep. we were at the front of the building and the passing traffic kept my fiance awake all night, i didnt have that trouble! haha

This is a new hotel but it appears
This is a new hotel but it appears to have been built and furnished on a shoestring so I think it'll start to wear very quickly. Example - the shelf in the cupboard which had the tea & coffe stuff on was only perched on 4 screws rather than being secured properly - I found this out when I managed to knock the shelf off and send the kettle and cups etc crashing to the bottom of the cupboard! Shower started well but then reduced to a trickle. Glad I didn't pay any more.....
