I was a little apprehensive at
I was a little apprehensive at first about this hotel after reviewing other comments, but once checked-in those concerns disappeared. The hotel is situated right in the middle of all the attractions and commands wonderful views over the Plymouth Sound. Given the parking situation in Plymouth the underground car park was most useful and cheap. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and are very personable. The bar facilities are good and the prices won't break your budget. The hotel offers a great and well appreciated spa facilities. The restaurant provides good food, substantial breakfasts and breathtaking views. But the real surprise was the bedrooms. Mine and indeed most seem to be sizable, very clean and bright. This hotel is well recommended by me and I would definitely stay again.

Great location
The Holiday Inn PLYMOUTH was located in a GREAT LOCATION, maybe a block or two from the seaside. Parking was available, however during our stay we could not find a single available space. This might be due to functions they hold there or that the weekend we chose there was a half-marathon going on. The room was very big and accomodated our family of 5 (3 kids under 9). A separate vanity area from the bathroom was nice. Great pool but a little cold and there was no lifeguard available. Make sure to check the pool hours since it closes early on weekends if you have avid swimmers. Great shopping center that recently opened up and not too far from the hotel (easy walking distance). We would definitly return to this hotel.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Mayflower Museum, steps, Tourist Information center, Aquarium, and Beacons tower nearby. Huge outside pool next to the ocean open during certain times of the seasons.
