The Salutation Hotel is full of historic character dating back to 1699 and is reputed to be one of the oldest established hotels in Scotland - In fact the room Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed in is still in use today - The hotel is situated in the heart of the historic city of Perth - a popular destination for both business and leisure travellers - and is just 45 minutes from Edinburgh and 50 minutes from Glasgow - The Salutation Hotel has been refurbished in traditional Scottish style to create a natural and relaxing environment with excellent facilities - A variety of accommodation is on offer to suit the needs of all guests - whether they are corporate travellers or on a romantic break - Our comfortable rooms all have ensuite facilities - colour television - direct dial telephone - hospitality tray and central heating - The Adam Restaurant is named after the magnificent 24 pane Adam window that is the focal point of this popular restaurant - Guests are invited to relax in the informal atmosphere and choose from the carvery or the a la carte menu - Any meal will be perfectly complemented by our extensive wine list - Reids Bar on the ground floor is a relaxing and comfortable place to savour some of the many malt whiskies in stock - or to choose from the fine range of beers - wines and spirits on offer - Bar lunches and dinners are also available - Live entertainment is offered on some nights of the week in Reids Bar - The historic Stuart Room is the place to be for those who prefer a quieter night on these occasions - The friendly staff at Salutation Hotel are always willing to please - and we all look forward to welcoming you

An excellent Hotel which belies

An excellent Hotel which belies its tired exterior. Its location, Food quality,friendliness and service of the Staff make it a really enjoyable and memorable stay.

This is an older coaching hotel

This is an older coaching hotel with a lot of character. Rooms are very reasonably priced with a substantial breakfast choice. The only negative was a stained bedspread and the undercover of the bed ripped. The room was clean, the lined, towels and bathroom fresh and clean. Presumably hotels do not clean their bedspreads daily but in the absence of doing this they are breaching health and safety rules.
