This is a highly recommended hotel, in an ideal, quiet location, just minutes away from the city center. This is a traditional hotel, built in 1900, set in its own grounds. Originally,it was three Georgian houses, which have been converted and, in addition, a new wing has been added. This hotel is located 5 minutes from Oxford City centre, in a quiet, residential area.

Not impressed

This hotel did not meet the standard expected of this particular chain. We were advised that our room would be ready at 2 pm. It was not in fact ready until after 4pm - no apologies, offers of refreshments and no one offered to escort us when it was eventually ready. We were treated with complete disregard and the manager appeared flustered and incompetent. The breakfast was the final straw - at nearly £6 per head extra for a bowl of cereal and almost inedible bread. We paid over the odds for shoddy customer service.

Park close to city centre

Small hotel in a residential area within walking distance of city centre. Free car parking much appreciated in Oxford. Executive room was large with free WiFi. The only problem was noise from until the small hours from another room

Quant hotel, uncomfortable accomodation

Staff was rude and not helpful. Language was an issue, in England staff barely spoke English. They were unable to understand what a luggage rack was, and unwilling to get one for us once they understood what it was. Walls were paper thin and guests were loud. No airconditioning and only a loud old fan was available to move the air.
