Excellent standard property with an elegant setting, ideally placed for a weekend break away to Oxford or to Bicester Village. (GW 10/2008) This is an imposing white house set in 3 acres of mature gardens. The hotel is situated just two miles from the city centre and is surrounded by 3 acres of beautiful tree-lined gardens in the Iffley Village, well-known for its historic Norman Church dating back to 12th century and the oldest loch in Oxford.

Hawkwell House Rooms

Guest Rooms
The main hotel has 51 bedrooms including three luxury suites. There are a further 15 bedrooms in the adjacent Elm House - once the home of the Antarctic explorer Francis Bickerton - now a stylish "boutique" in its own right, within the 3-acre grounds of the main hotel. The rooms in the main house are more traditional but in good decorative order whilst Elm House has stylish, contemporary rooms with Paroda furniture, luxury bath-rooms, flat-screen TV, broadband internet, glass dressing-tables and leather drawers.

Restaurant
The restaurant is a beautiful spacious conservatory arranged around a fountain patio garden. It is decorated in creams and white giving it a light and airy feel. There are bright, contemporary paintings on the wall and tall palm trees in between the tables. The restaurant serves the best modern English cuisine- light and fresh in summer, rich and robust in winter.

Great location right outside of Oxford

This hotel was wonderful. The family room that we stayed in had a queen bed as well as an separate adjoining area with a bunk bed (ideal for kids). The included breakfast was a superb buffet.
