The Express by Holiday Inn Hotel, Kassam Stadium-Oxford is ideally situated for business or leisure. By car only 10 minutes from Oxford city centre, one hour from Heathrow Airport and an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds or visiting one of the Oxford theatres , BMW Mini or the John Radcliffe Hospital . New : Oxford German-style Christmas Market 10-20 December at Oxford Castle. Popular local attractions include: Ashmolean Museum, Botanic Gardens, Pitt Rivers Museum, Blenheim Palace, Bicester Village, Oxford University, Victorian Covered Market , walking tours. The Express is next door to the Quadrangle Conference Centre & Kassam Stadium and a few minutes walk from Oxford Science Park . There are plenty of entertainment facilities within 5 minutes walk of the hotel: including two restaurants, 11 screen cinema, 10 pin bowling, Gala bingo, children's activity centre and leisure club. The Leisure Club has a 20m Swimming Pool , & large gym. Guests staying at the hotel can buy a pass for the leisure club for only £5. Children limited access times: Mon-Fri 1400- 1700, W/E 1200-1600 hrs. Wonderful Oxford Experience

There are some decent buffet restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The room was comfortable size and clean. Hotel staff helped us use the bus system to get into the center of town. Oxford turns out to be my favorite UK city, so the trip was a success. There is a city bus tour that can be taken to get an idea of the location of the sites you want to see. I recommend taking the tour early in your visit.

I had a very pleasant stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only negative point I would make is that I think the price for buying internet access was very unreasonable.

Pretty decent with some problems

We came to Oxford to explore the University and city center. The hotel is a good distance away from city center - it cost about 10 pounds to take the taxi and the bus takes at least half an hour to get there though at a cheaper price. The hotel is mainly used by guided tours and people watching the game at the Kassam Stadium that is just right behind the hotel. As a result it's really quiet some nights and really noisy in other nights. My main complaint about this hotel though is how the rooms - at least our room - and the hallway smelled like someone has been smoking in them. I believe the hotel room we got is a non-smoking one. But it doesn't matter since people would smoke outside the hotel right outside the room's open window. The first night was rather horrid as the bus drivers liked to smoke right outside our room, but we couldn't quite keep the windows close the entire time since it gets rather stuffy inside. The one redeeming part of the hotel is its breakfast buffet. The variety may look small but it was quite satisfying. They have so many kinds of spreads and good tea & coffee. The place is ok, if your main goal is to visit Oxford. I would advice not going here if you have allergies, particularly hay fever, since there are pollen and dandelions flying around all the time. The city center is ok, but it does have a bit of pollen also.

Truly an unbeatable price and location!

had a great stay. Well located for the visitor that wants to see more than the tourist sights in central London.
