Built in 1078, this elegant Northumbrian country house hotel is nestled in 32 acres of tranquil gardens and woodland and offers luxurious accommodation, award-winning dining, free Wi-Fi and parking. Situated in the heart of Wild Redesdale, this unique property has been beautifully restored retaining all the authentic charm of its rich historic legacy. Original features such as oak panelling, leaded panes, stained glass windows and large open fireplaces help to create a romantic ambiance that is both warm and welcoming. The property is fronted by beautiful terraced lawns and surrounded by woodland, whilst the scenic Otterburn Trail stretches around the grounds taking in the River Rede and the Hotels own private lake.

The extensive grounds of the Hotel are well tended and the terraced lawns make a perfect setting for a unique wedding celebration. Guests can also enjoy the peace of a walk through the bluebell wood and down to the old boating lake or explore the many footpaths behind the hotel. Guests are also free to engage in a spot of fishing on the Hotels own three mile stretch of the River Rede as well as their private lake.
The Hotel is located in the small village of Otterburn only 3 a minute drive from the A68 and just under 45 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne. Newcastle offers exceptional transport links to the rest of the country. For those flying in, Newcastle International Airport is only 34 minute taxi ride from the Hotel.
