Upon arrival there was loads of groups of young lads in reception and we did expect it to be a bit rowdy. Apparently floor three is the party floor so stay away from this if you want some peace and quiet!!
Having said all that, from arriving at
the hotel until we left the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The room was ok and clean and the beds were really comfortable. We were put on floor five, so no noise near our room.
Would definitely return as centrally located and got a cracking deal. The staff were the nicest I have ever encountered at any hotel, including much dearer ones than this!! I'd recommend it!!!
The room was great value and immaculate. Fresh towels and tea/coffee/milk top ups and a Costa downstairs. The only problem was people slamming doors, knocking on other doors and talking from other rooms late at night. This is not the hotels fault
but it shows slightly thin walls.
Apart for that it was excellent and I will definitely be back.
staff not helpful.two towels in room.no tea or sugar.for making tea.room was ok.b athroom needed a good clean.breakfast well dont no were to start on that.very poor hotel.noice levels people running about in we small hours.wouldnt recomend this to
My stay was pretty good. Everything worked fine in the hotel. There was a hot bath, a hairdryer, hot water flask and tea...
The things which I felt were missing were: a minifridge and free internet (it was paid per day)
The staff were helpful,
if overtaxed on a Monday.
However, the hotel did not have any razors or pins to lend/give out. I had to go out specially to buy a razor.
Overall a great location - near the station and the city.
Rooms and clean, beds very comfortable, can be a little noisy due to being in the city centre and people coming and going for most of the night and early morning, good bar which also serves costa coffee seems to be open til early hours, possibly
24 hour, car park over the road about £12 for 24 hours, security on doors at night to stop any riff raff :)
Hotel was great, only problem we had was asked for £100 per room for security deposit on arrival, which on no website or email confirmation state tht this would happen. After checking there site and realising there error the deposit was lowered to
50 per room which we got back the Sunday morning.
I was over for a Newcastle United game and decided to give Jury's a go. Having been to Newcastle several times in the last 6 months, I found this to be the best hotel I've had the pleasure of staying at.
Friendly and helpful staff really welcomed
me. Room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable.
The only problem I had was trying to locate the hotel. A few signposts around the town would have made findingthe hotel a bit easier but I got there in the end.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
The Strawberry - Located just outside St. James' Park. Fantastic atmosphere and great banter. They do an excellent pint of Guinness.
