Night out

Would not recommend Tue, Nov 24, 2015
Hotel had just changed from Macdonald hotels to original owners. I was not aware of this until I checked in. The room was the coldest room I have ever stayed in. Air conditioning on full heat when the room is freezing cold is like trying to warm the room with a hair dryer .. The shower jumped from boiling hot to freezing cold every few seconds. I have never stayed in a standard room in this hotel before. But the hotel is a great location and the comunal areas are very plush .

Nice stay

Would recommend Fri, Aug 28, 2015
Good location - we had bookings for corrie tour and restaurant in centre of Manchester - hotel was only 10mins away from both. Room was good size, reception and bar staff excellent. Had to ask for gowns and slippers that shud have been in rooms - as booked executive rooms, but they were brought up quickly. Very scarce on toiletries, and lot of noise from outside until at least 2am, unable to close secondary double glazing. But overall good experience

Room too hot windows unable to open

Would not recommend Tue, Jun 2, 2015
Although I liked the hotel itself, the air conditioning in our room was not working. When we asked for help somebody came up to our room but could not fix it and offered no solution to the problem. We did not get much sleep due to being uncomfortably hot. The hotel was quite expensive so we expected better service.

Lovely building in the centre of town

Would recommend Thu, May 28, 2015
Absolutely love this building - it has so much character and the hotel does really well to work with this inside. The restaurant is fantastic and the rooms are quality. What more could you want?

Great location

Would recommend Tue, Jun 10, 2014
Free bus to local attractions around the city centre made this a great place for us as I was recovering from a broken leg. Stairs up to reception difficult to manage but there is a lift which I didn't spot on arrival. Breakfast great although my 12 yr son was given a larger portion than me - a bit odd. Did I get the child portion ?? Room comfortable and shower very satisfying. Room was a little cold - even with the radiator on. The bill showed a price about £13 cheaper than I paid with e,,,,,,kers!!! Maybe it's cheaper if you book directly.

Dining

China town really close by for a great choice of restraints. Free local bus from the station- number3 I think. Buses come every 5 or 6 minutes .

Amazing

Would recommend Tue, Feb 28, 2012
The hotel was very clean and staff couldn't do enough for you. We got there a bit early but our room was ready for us. We ate in the restaurant 2 nights and the meals were fantastic. They did a meal deal, two courses plus a bottle of wine for £17.95 each and worth every penny. The location was perfect most places were within walking distance if not the trams and local buses were at hand and very reasonable. We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Excellent stay

Would recommend Sun, Oct 3, 2010
As a lone woman travelling for a long stay (5 nights) I found the hotel excellent. The staff were very friendly, they observed security measures such as placing me close to the lift. The room was immaculate - I am sure I am the first to use it and it was well serviced daily. I have ticked noisy not due to the hotel's fault but to say it is in the city centre and despite the double glazing you can hear some street noise though it didn't bother me. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful over leaving luggage and with direction. I would stay again and have recommended it to others already. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
