Wouldn't recommend

We had stayed over for a night. The price of the hotel room after discount was over 100 punds, but the room was very ordinary. There were stains on the bed sheet's section which over hung from the mattres. There were stains on one of the pillows as well. I had to go to the reception to collect tooth brush kit. I guess if you are paying over 100 pound for the a very standard room the least that one should expect is quality service.

A Nice Little Break

We had a very nice overnight stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very nice, with a good selection of english and continental breakfast options. The location was ideal for us, with plenty of shops, bars, and the Arndale Shopping Center, well within walking distance. The NCP Grand car park is next door, very easy to find, and can be booked on line to avoid any worry in busy times.

Worth it

Definitely worth the money. The room was perfect, very clean and very tidy. The staff were incredibly helpful and were very polite. It was the second time I'd stayed there and both times I found the hotel to be worth staying at and I would recommend it to anyone.

Weekend in the city

Compact room (not ideal if you are a little on the large side!). Everything clean, good sized flat screen TV, digital safe. Air con/heating completely controllable, but a bit noisy. Close up view of decor within bathroom revealed a bit of attention needed (not nice to see untidy, peeling bathroom sealant when you're relaxing in the bath). Could do with air extraction within bathroom. Staff in reception were professional, but in no way welcoming - completely lacking any warmth or friendliness. Didn't stay in for breakfast...much better options (& value for money) within restaurants close by in the city.
