Nice B&B, far from City Centre and Could Use TLC

The is a perfectly nice B&B; however, there are a few important things to note: 1. The package on this site does NOT include breakfast, so it's effectively just a hotel 2. In our spacious, lovely room, the toilet would only flush once in a while; however, there was great and fast hot water for the shower (no bath tub) 3. The cleaning was a little haphazard: the bed was always made and new towels given, however trash was sometimes left where it was, coffee cups were not always changed out for clean ones, and the hot cocoa packets that were there the first day were never replenished over the next 7 days 4. There is no 24-hr. staff because it's a B&B, so for us who were there on work (and didn't have breakfast included), we saw the staff only twice over an 8 day period--so there was no easy way to resolve any of the above issues 5. It is the LAST stop on the Eccles MetroLink. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the MetroLink from the hotel and about 30 minutes to ride the MetroLink from the Eccles stop to downtown. If you are working downtown or touristing downtown, better to stay in a downtown hotel. There is nothing happening in Eccles, however quaint it may be.

Dining tip: Not Applicable

In the Manchester City Centre, there are many delicious restaurants including Try Thai and I Am Pho in Chinatown and north of the City Centre Radjoot Indian. In the Northern Quarter Bonbon Chocolates and North Tea Power are delicious resting points.

Good but could be better

Front Door Bell didn't work, couldn't check in when I got there. Last night of stay, towels were not changed, just hung up to dry. Sometimes had trouble getting in touch with reception. Room was comfortable, nice, and cozy, location was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful when I was able to talk to them.
