1st time visit to Manchester, meeting family

We only stayed the one night, Have never stayed in a mecure hotel, found the staff very friendly, room clean , breakfast was nice, The hotel is centrally located, only 5 minutes if that from Piccadilly station, couldn't have chosen better, will go back again when next up in Manchester! which is a few weeks away,

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

We liked the shops which are on the doorstep of hotel, we dined in Chinatown for lunch, which is on your right of the hotel, in the evening went to kings street to a restaurant called Miller and Carter steak house, was excellent, worth a visit as is china town, there's probably lots to do, in Manchester it was our first time, so we shall be going back , our 24 hours flew by, certainly not long enough to see much more,

Stay at Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel

My stay at the Mercure was all good. Close to shopping and trams and buses. The room was quite suitable and the air conditioning was good. Perhaps the only thing missing was a bar fridge, but managed without.

Excellent Stay

Great hotel in a very central location. Walking distance from Piccadilly station and a stone's throw from the shopping centres etc. Just around the corner from the Metrolink as well if you're planning to access further afield parts of Greater Manchester. Excellent breakfast too.

Excellent as always

As usual, the hotel exceeded expectation. The only problem I had was on the booking sheet that requires a signature. The last 2 occasions I've apparently been a male from Chicago, when I'm actually a female from Manchester. Other then that, everything was absolutely fine.

Great location

This hotel is located right in the center of piccadilly gardens and you can catch a bus and tram to anywhere in the city. It is about a 10 or 15 min walk from the piccadilly train station as well. There are plenty of stores located around as well as restaurants. The hotel its self is just ok. We didn't have any issues with it. I wish there was free wifi in all of the rooms. We had to go down to floor 3 where the restaurant was to use the internet.

Very pleased

I was in Manchester for four days for a conference and I'm really pleased with my stay at Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel. The location of the hotel made it easy to reach anywhere in Manchester. The room was really comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. I like to stay there again during my next visit to Manchester.

Great Hotel

Overall the hotel is in a perfect location for shops. The service and staff are excellent as is the breakfast. I think the bathrooms, especially the floor could do with revamping. The bar is always empty at night possibly due to it always being really cold in there to the extent you have to keep your coat on. My daughter and I have stayed 5 times in the last 15 months and we wouldnt stay anywhere else.
