Great location

This hotel is great for the location. What you lose in supuberb cleanliness you make up for being right in the heart of the city. It had a shower, free wi-fi, two beds...all you need for a quick rest to go back out in the city. They provided fresh clean towels everyday. The only thing it lacked would be found with spots on the carpet and comforters, sheets not changed while we were there or the view. Wish it had air conditioning or a fan. While it is not Jury's Inn, it is a very friendly hotel, excellent and helpful staff and, again, a perfect location.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Manchester Arndale is right down the street with a food centre, excellent shopping, things to do and more. Ride the ferris wheel--seing the city is a wonderful experience.

perfekte Lage aber alte Ausstattung

Das Hotel ist leider schon in die Tage gekommen. Überall Teppichboden läßt es auf den 1. Blick muffig erscheinen. Das liegt vielleicht größtenteils an dem Aufzug der direkt vor der Reception zu den Zimmern (in unserem Fall 2 Stock Zimmer 223) führt. Im Aufzug stinkt es dermaßen, dass man die Luft anhalten muss. Leider...wir haben die 3 Tage dann nur noch die Treppe genutzt. Das Zimmer war gerämig genug und alles machte einen sauberen Eindruck. Ein Flachbildschirm hing an der Wand, es wurde geputzt und der Tee/Kaffespender täglich neu gefüllt. Das Bad war groß und sauber mit ausreichend Handtüchern. Leider muss ich sagen, dass es zu KEINER Tages- und Nachtzeit wirklich heißes, nicht mal warmes Wasser gab. Ich habe lediglich Katzenwäsche gemacht und war froh nach 4 Tagen zu Hause endlich die Haare waschen zu können. Wer also stundenlange Bäder und Körperhygiene im großen Stil betreiben möchte, sollte das Hotel meiden. Aber wer mit einer schnellen Dusche zufrieden ist, warum nicht. Ach ja, eines der 2 großen Fenster lies sich nciht schliessen. Also gar nicht! Es hing raus und wurde mit einem Holzklotz am Fensterbrett gehalten. Zum Glück hatten wir angenehmen Aussenthemperaturen und das Fenster ging nach hinten in einen Hinterhof raus und war nicht weiter schlimm aber wäre schon schön gewesen es mal schliessen zu können. Alles in allem, klingt das nach viel Rekla aber wir haben uns nicht beschwert, es war wirklich preisgünstig, sauber und central....da darf man sich eigentlich nicht beschweren. Der Fön auf dem Zimmer hat übrigens prima funktioniert. Die Matratze/Bett fand ich sehr angenehm, alles war sauber. Weniger Teppich wäre mehr gewesen, aber mein Gott...
