Great value in the city centre

This was our 2nd stay in this hotel. It is great value mid week and is perfectly located for transport shopping night life etc. single rooms are small and basic but perfectly adequate and have kettle tea coffee fans on request , hair dryer and even iron and ironing board. Nice and quiet on our mid week stay. Couldn't fault it for the money paid £35 single room)

Weekend away

Great location in the middle of everything shops, bars easy to find . Only downside was the key card to our room it didn't work the whole time we were there wasn't so much of a problem until it came to go back to room after night out had to go to the reception twice and then having a very rude reception /porter very rudely tell us that there wS nothing wrong with the key card. On departure luggage can be left and collected later.overhall great hotel and won't be put off from staying there again.

weekend getaway

After reading all the reviews about this hotel I was expecting it to be really awful, but I was surprised! The hotel was in a great location for my needs. Right in the city centre close to everything. The hotel itself was nice and once again what I needed. I had booked a single room but I was given a twin room which was a nice surprise. The room was equipped with a kettle and teas and coffees, tv with free view and there is wifi in the hotel room too. I didn't have any meals there so can't comment on that. But overall enjoyed my stay and would go back again.

Nice hotel Manchester downtown

Nice Hotel on the main square. We enjoyed a short stay (2 days). The staff is friendly, the rooms a bit small but still ok. The best advantage of this hotel is the good quality/price ratio and the location from which you can visit the whole city on foot. I would recommand it

Central Hotchpotch

Superbly located in the heart of the city this hotel is a hit and miss conversion of old buildings. My room was awkwardly shaped with ill fitting furniture and curtains. Comfortable enough but someone needed to think things through better and pay some attention to detail. Reasonable value for money but not great.

We ended up with twin beds when we had booked double...should have complained but too tired. Rooms a bit tired, but close to railway station.

Where I will stay in Manchester from now on

The location which is a short walk from Piccadilly Station, the free Manchester shuttle bus around town and shopping was fabulous. While the hotel otherwise does not seem to be in a great location that is like NYC's Times Square, the hotel patrons were very nice--many were middle class business travelers- and security there is tight. The breakfast was excellent as well.

Great value

Convenient location just off of Picadilly square in the middle of town. Good wifi. Great price. Room had some stains and definitely had a "lived-in" look. But the bed was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
