Comfortable room, ideal for an overnight stay before a morning flight as it is on the airport site. A free shuttle service links with the terminals. Tea/coffee making facilities handy for morning cuppa.

My wife and I spent one night
My wife and I spent one night at the Crowne Plaza before a flight home early the following morning. The welcome we received from the the check in staff was excellent. The room was very clean and modern, the restaurant and bar facilities were very nice and all staff were extremely friendly. We would stay at Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport again without question.

This was a poor example of a 4 star hote
We were just over nighters,having traveled over night from Boston to Manchester UK. We were tired,the hotel curtesy Bus took a long time to arrive ,the slidding door next to the curb was broken we had to board from the Rd. side. There was no porter to help with baggage on arrival. The room smelt of tobaco smoketerribly.The phone and hairdyer were broken.The internet USB wasn't in the drawer or wardrobe,where the notice said it would be. The bedside tables were dirty ,with food . When we compained the PR man tried very hard to make ammends. The room was seedy ---the whole place needed a face lift. The bed was comfortable. A disapointment.

When you think of Crowne Plaza
When you think of Crowne Plaza you think of more than this. It is, in fact, a typical airport hotel with an expensive breakfast and costly internet connections that offset the lower price you might get. It was not bad, but it was a bit dissappointing.

Having driven from Scotland and
Having driven from Scotland and with an early flight the next morning, we were initially very pleased with the room we were allocated and were expecting a good night sleep. However, the room was an adjoining room, with a single door that was unlocked on entry, which we subsequently locked. At 1am, we were woken by someone trying to open this door and who, until 3am could be clearly heard fiddling with luggage and using the bathroom. It was aparticularly bad night. We were not impressed.

The internet connection was too
The internet connection was too expensive so I did not use it. Breakfast was also expensive so we made other arrangements. In Holiday Inn, both the above items were complimentary.
