night in Manchester

Would recommend Mon, Nov 9, 2015
Great location just a tram ride away from the town. The meal in the restaurant was great value and excellent food. The room we stayed in was very clean but a bit dated and a very squeaky bed. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning good choice of hot and cold buffet. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Nice first impression but got to agree with some reviews not quite up to standard for 4 star. The toilets could have done with a good clean or redecorate. Lighting poor I. Rooms. Breakfast nice and lovely view from restaurant. Good location and easy for getting into centre on tram

the worst ever

Would not recommend Tue, Jul 7, 2015
the worst hotel stay ever. dont be deceived by the 4-star rating. i was utterly disappointed with the overall level of cleanliness of the hotel. room was not air conditioned when i decided to open the windows, noticed spider webs and big spider crawling. ended up closing the window and staying the whole night in a very warm room. i was surprised the rooms were fully booked that they could not offer me another room. the wifi was the worst ever. such a shame, after all, what made me decide taking this hotel was the ''free wifi''. it kept disconnecting every single 5-10 mins and it was so slow to the extent i could not even load up the google page!!! i contacted the reception they could only offer ''resetting the router and advised me to try again in a couple of minutes!''. could have spent 120 pounds for a hotel with lower rating elsewhere. I just could not find the positive sides of the hotel. overall, the worst hotel stay ever!

Overall our experience was really good. The only thing was the breakfast staff on our second day. Really unorganized and not very friendly at all.

Nice hotel but needs sprucing up

Would recommend Fri, Aug 15, 2014
Excellent location for football and very reasonably priced and room was huge but the decoration is looking a bit old and the room is due a refurb. Wi Fi connection was very cheap £5 for 24 hours but connection wasn't great Also only one lift working which was a little inconvenient

Few adjustment needed to catch up with customer needs

Would not recommend Wed, Aug 13, 2014
The receptionist on arrival was very good as expected. The room very cleaned but it really needs a ventilation a fan or aircon So guest don`t need to open the windows with noisy traffic outside. * The extractor fan in the room was not working (needs a repair) Windows glasses and frames outside were not cleaned & as i opened the window, spiders started running inside. * The breakfast staff on duty on (09/08) were very good and consistence but the breakfast staff on duty on (10/08} were rubbished. They continuously forgot us at the a sitted table without telling or asking us anything or what hot beverage we would like. This experience was very very bad during breakfast as we were going somewhere that morning.

Week End Stay

Would not recommend Tue, Jan 14, 2014
This hotel should have a rating of one and a half stars. The room was too dark to read or write. Sent for the Duty Manager to complain. He was a first class hotel ambassador, very polite and professional. He saw the predicament I was in. Being partially disabled it was difficult to find another room. He upgraded us to a suite free of charge which I thank him for. My friend and his wife were put in a room which did have light, only because a commercial fluorescent light went across the ceiling which was not pleasant to look at. The bed was a fold up to the wall type which was not comfortable. Being a Director of a Premier League Football Side, it was the worst room he had stayed in for many years. This hotel needs completely renovating and is Definitely NOT four star, albeit the cost of staying there is. The staff at the hotel were five star and could not have been better.
