The hotel was a stones throw away from the town centre. Reception, bar and first floor were really nice and well maintained. Second floor was a little tatty and in need of some TLC. Being so close to the train tracks you couldn't help but notice
when one went past. All in all, a pleasant and comfortable stay.
The rooms are small and the hotel has major roads on 2 sides and a mainline railway on a third so I doubt you will find a quiet room as the soundproofing is inadequate. The staff are helpful and friendly but the quality control of housekeeping
leaves a lot to be desired. Stay somewhere else if you want a good nights sleep.
we had a small room that was about 20 foot from railway lines trains going past most of the night the room looked like it had not been cleaned for years shower you would not want to shower in and a bed that was well hard to sleep in springs in
your back never stop there again
