not a real hotel
Travelodge seems to be a place to crash and get out first thing in the morning again. There's no real check-in counter, just malfunctioning machines, and the staff is pretty unhelpful. There's no luggage room, so you can't leave your suitcase anywhere if you leave London later in the day. We booked a double room, but were given a twin room. Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

Good location
good, clean, basic hotel. One negative comment - free telephone service for taxi did not work. We were told a taxi would be with us in six minutes, but after twenty minutes wait I called to cancel because there were plenty of taxis passing the hotel.

Great value for central London
This hotel is very ordinary, except for its fantastic location at a very reasonable price. Just a hop away from Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, the Theatre district etc... and one of the best pubs in London just around the corner. Staff are friendly, but over-stretched; but then again this hotel is low-cost for its location. Nevertheless clean & tidy with a comfy bed and a good shower. If you are in London to enjoy the city and just want a well-priced base to stay in, then I'd recommend it, but not if you are fussy about high service, or expect all the frills.

great location
The hotel is great BUT it is essential that the hotel group make it clear that there is NO LEFT BAGGAGE as we arrived early and we could not be checked in until 2.30pm on the dot we had to wander around with our luggage. In addition, once you have checked in there is NO LEFT BAGGAGE facility once you have checked out - this needs to be a facility that is provided in a London hotel.

Excellent two night stay
This hotel is great for central London, if you can get a good price its well worth its money good all round right by covent garden not far to Leicester sq and good food outlets all close by . When we go again i would look at this hotel again without fear of giong into the unknown

Excellent hotel!
A local friend of ours recommended this hotel when we were traveling to London for vacation and sightseeing. The location in Covent Garden was ideal. Only a couple short blocks to the tube and walking to many restaurants/bars and to Soho. We arrived at the hotel hours early but they allowed us to check in early for a small fee. The room was large and clean. There was wi fi in the room for a small fee or free wi fi in the lobby. The hotel had a nice relaxing area with couches where we used the free wi fi and there is also a bar and restaurant. The 24 hour staff was accommodating as well. Will be staying here in the future!

Reasonable value, good location
Reasonably good value hotel located in the heart of the West End. Hotel is standard Travelodge quality, nothing fancy but a decent enough nights rest in a central location.
