Situated just minutes away from Victoria station, in the heart of the fashionable and historic Belgravia district, this deluxe boutique hotel is newly open following a £4 million refurbishment. The hotel has the distinct advantage of the excellent travel links available nearby. Whilst being in a peaceful, calm and stylish area, Tophams is within easy reach of many of London's top attractions and close to many of the theatres showing the headlining shows. There is also excellent shopping on the doorstep. Amenities providing by the hotel are Airport transfer, Bar, Concierge, Dry cleaning, High-Speed Internet access, Wireless Internet access, Laundry service, Lift / Elevator, Reception, Safe deposit box, Smoke-free hotel and Breakfast Restaurant. Additional Charges: £11.00 if breakfast is taken.

The word 'wretched' comes to mind

We had an 18 hour plane lay over and planned to get some fast sight seeing, a meal and some rest. We were escorted from reception area, down the block to a locked entry down into a dank,dark room with chocolate brown walls and strong smell of cigarette and musty carpet. The bath rooms are two tiny closets, one with toilet, one with shower and each of their doors blocked the entry and the other's. We didn't receive the wake up call we requested and were told we would get but luckily we didn't miss our plane. There was no clock and room phone apparently didn't work. After 12 other hotels on this trip we had a lot to compare to and this was a definite last place.

Frustrating Stay

Staff handled room and service charges incorrectly and double charged us for everything. When I tried to point out the error I was met with anger and disrespect until I printed out my charge statement and their email confirmation. They never apologized and begrudgingly corrected the charges. I thought maybe I was being too sensitive but my friend and I inadvertently witnessed them treating several guests in the same poor way. Will never stay here again.

All in all a good hotel priced

All in all a good hotel priced at £160 per night. A step up from those under £100 in this area.Very clean. no breakfast in this price. Location is great only 2 mins walk from Victoria rail and coach station. In a very quiet street .Plenty places to eat and pubs and 2 theatres within 5 mins walk.Room was ok and very clean. Bathroom very small,hardly room to move but shower was good and so I would say oK for a night or 2. Safe in room . helpfull staff .

very good

This a lovely hotel in an excellent location. The air conditionong was working but London was having a heat wave. It was not cool enough for me and the temp was set not to go below 19.
