The five star hotel has an awe-inspiring hand-painted glass atrium which crowns the reception and honesty bar area. Soft tones and clever lighting create a relaxing environment within the 69 contemporary rooms and suites. Elegant Egyptian cotton and duck-down duvets adorn the beds, while the high-speed Internet and ipod docking stations are discreetly hidden away. Limestone bathrooms feature frosted glass sliding doors, chrome and glass accessories and plasma-screen TVs. Guests who want to experience the ultimate indulgence should stay in The Penthouse, which has a unique interior and magnificent private balcony overlooking the city. Area description
Close to Bank underground station and Liverpool Street station. The River Thames, Tower of London and St. Paul's Cathedral nearby. Gatwick International Airport is 48 kms away, approximately 50 minutes journey time.Threadneedles is located in the heart of London's financial district, the City. It's the oldest part of the capital, offering distinguished landmarks such as the Bank of England, St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. But there are modern classics too, such as the Lloyds Building and Swiss Re Tower; two of the London skyline's most striking upstarts. The arts too are well represented, not least by the world-famous Barbican centre and the Tate Modern. All these are a few minutes stroll from the hotel, and the fashionable West End is a mere tube or taxi ride away.

Luxurious hotel in Financial District

Stayed in this Financial District hotel with my boyfriend over the Christmas period. We both really enjoyed the hotel. The lobby is beautiful with a 24 hr "honesty bar" so that you can sip champagne beneath the giant stained glass dome in the ceiling. For £3 more, you can drink the same champagne in your bath tube with strawberries and cream! The location OK - it is close to St Paul's and London bridge, right behind the stock exchange, and there is easy access to the tube (Bank), but because it is the financial district, it is not in the center of London's nightlife (caveat is that this was over Christmas). It is a 5-10 min walk from the Thames. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Shower was fantastic, bath products high quality and the bed super comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel and would certainly stay here again.

Nice hotel and best location

my stay at this hotel was amazing very close to Bank station with access to nice restaurants. The room was very spacious (new furniture) and very clean, the bed was quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. All these at fair good price for a 5 star hotel.

Great find!

This was such a lucky find. I had selected it because of the close proximity to business I was doing. The music when I walked in was what first got me. The staff and management were friendly and efficient down to knowing bus routes, printing out maps and knowledge of shop hours. The room was lovely and I dug the offer of strawberries and champagne with my bath. This hotel is just what the hotel group promises - Unique.Chic.Boutique. I highly recommend it and will be back!!!

Lovely break

Hotel was lovely, rooms spotless. Tv didn't work unfortunately in the room, but plenty of extra touches to make up for it like tv in the bathroom, still sparkling water and ice waiting on the bedside.
